Article: The NEW and IMPROVED BIG BOARD

CanesInSight is happy to launch or new Big Board system. This will combine our existing recruit database into a Big Board style database. Here is what is new

- New ranking system all together (Big Board style)
- Notes about each player and when the notes were updated
- Percent that they will commit to Miami
- Is that percent going up or down or staying the same.
- In the profiles you can read past articles about the player
- When recruits full name is mentioned in an article or forum post it auto links their name to their profile.

Old features but still relevant:

- Updated ranking and rating from scout.com. rivals.com and espn.com (CanesInSight rating is average of all 3)
- View which schools they are considering
- Height / Weight and 40yd time in each recruit
- Videos on each recruit
- Twitter updates from each recruit

I like it, but think it would be even better if each recruit had a 'last updated' date for them or at least a 'last updated' for the board overall. For example, a quote such as:

"I feel better on Bryant than I did two weeks ago..." is nice and all, but w/o know when you posted this I can't know how relevant the quote is given the constantly changing world of recruiting (and that recruit in particular).

Don't mean to harp on it as it is a great feature, but I think that relatively small change could make it even better. Thanks guys.

Like the new layout.

 

A suggestion would be to have the board sortable...by position would be my preference personally.

They were all updated a few days ago when Peter released his last update. You will see dates in the future.

Dan E. Dangerously is the MVP of this thing. We neglected the profiles for too long, and they were crappy to be honest. DED went in there and got them up to date. Now they have everything up to date and a news feed that links to every new story Peter, Cam or Tito post. We will carry on this model for 2014 and beyond.
