I would hope/think Leavitt would take less to come play here with the OL we have vs going to LSU for his last year during a rebuild.
I could of sworn Dmoney said we wouldn't be outbid so maybe the same.

I hate gaby's hedging like everyone but it is evident he has info and I think he does as good as a job as one can in keeping that information private until need be

him and David lake were clear that the portal would heat up and the qb situation would be clearer the day after the fiesta bowl and that was several days before the game

I imagine working as a miami beat reporter during a Mario Cristobal tenure isn't the easiest thing in the world

If only Gaby had the clarity and accuracy of the LSU writers, who are promising their readers that they already have Leavitt locked up...

originally I said "1.8 mill for a wr is wild"

Shannon Terry (CEO of On3), just said texas gave Coleman 3-3.5 million in NIL

INSANITY

I guess we'll see, but our choice of getting CJ and Marion proved way more valuable than a "Top" WR like singleton (who played alongside Coleman and was average)

I still believe that usc qb is a better fit for kiffen regardless how this works out . Multiole years left to build a team around him . Hes a pass happy qb

Could we have Leavitt but wait until after the title game to announce?

I would say concerned. I dont think anyone wants to go from a National Championship game,
to starting Emory on opening day.
Ideally no. But if that’s the trade off of winning it all, sign me up.

obviously it's leavitt or bust (for what's currently out there)

but am I the only one really worried about his injury? that's a major one and while beck's was his throwing arm which is obviously more important, the recovery time was less. this dude was playing on his foot making it worse before he finally had surgery and it's his planting foot

I can't imagine the coaches will let it go on past another day or two

they dont want to be going back and forth on championship week with a portal player
I hope so. I hope we have an answer soon. The waiting is the worst part. lol

Not worried. Perhaps he is slower to take off running the first couple of months of the season? Not the worst thing for his development if he's forced to make more plays in structure, IMO. I haven't read anything that suggests he wouldn't be back to pre-injury form (running-wise) 11-12 months on from surgery, which would be early October/November.
