6’7 Slovakian wing Timotej Malovec commits to Miami

Miami and coach Jai Lucas went all the way to Central Europe to recruit 6-foot-7 forward Timotej Malovec.

A member of Mega Mis of the ABA League, Timotej averaged 5.6 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 0.3 blocks in just 25 minutes per contest in 29 games in 2024-25. Timotej also represented Slovakia in the European Championships game, where he recorded an average of 8.7 points, 6.2 rebounds, 1.3 assists, and 1.2 steals per game.

In the recent season with Mega Mis, Timotej recorded a field goal percentage of 40.1%, a three-point shooting percentage of 33.8%, and a free throw percentage of 78.6%.

Even if he is 6-7 or 6-9 he will need lots of space to successfully spot up here because he drops the ball below his waist on every shot he took in that tape. Good defenders will just bother his motion down low.
