Norland's defense is absolutely loaded. They have another one of my favorite LBs, LJ Smith:

no but don't give information because somebody said Pete was washed

Pete, a real question, how many LBs should we expect in 2019? The class is obviously loaded with guys like Jesiah Pierre and Diamante Howard already commited (will they stick?) and Samuel Brooks likely their top LB target overall. Then you add this kid Darius Williams, who sounds like he loves the Canes, to Jahmar Brown, Anthony Soloman, LJ Smith, Owen Pappoe, Mikel Jones, De'mon Eaford, etc

Seems like the plan is to bring in 4 LB in 2019 with Brooks being considered more of a hybrid EDGE guy? I'd bet on 15 players on defense, and 10 on offense (1qb, 2rb, 2wr, 1te, 4ol).

DT - Denzel Daxon, Renato Brown, Jaquaze Sorells, Derrick Hunter?
DE - Khris Bogle, Jeremy Passmore, ????
LB - Brooks, Pierre, Howard, ???
CB - Jaden Davis, Kaiir Elam, Akeem Dent
S - Tyrique Stevenson, Mark Richards, Josh Sanguinetti

Some guys here aren't going to make the cut it looks like and I'd bet we're after some other studs too

Kids looks like he has potential, but saw her im catching too many tackles on the back foot instead of leading violently. Maybe that is what the staff told him that he needed to improve on. You look at Pinckney's HS tape, and you see a beast that brings the pain and drops the hammer...Pinck just has great anticipation I guess, this kid needs more of the Pinck magic.
I’m definitely with you on this one. He is not a thumper

This is why we need them to commit early!! Junior Days and Paradise Camp is where UM makes their head way..

Very glad to see that the staff is out there hustling. 2018 is important, but can't just laser focus on the one class in front of you. Gotta always keep an eye downfield, and they are showing great pursuit of 2019 and out.

We might not get everyone we want each year, but I feel good that we will have Top 10 classes on an annual basis.

That's what we need in order to stockpile a deep talented roster to compete with the elite. Kid A goes down for whatever reason, and we plug in Kid B and don't even miss a beat.

2018 should get us to the playoffs, but the talent of 2019 should get us to the championship.
