Not enough for The Work and not necessarily a ton of new info, but I got more confirmation on a few things today -

**Lamont Gaillard will be here this weekend and Miami feels like he is flippable.

**Good chance Scarborough makes it for the official visit this upcoming weekend. No guarantees, but his unofficial was not just a get-away.

**Still no worries about Demetrius Jackson from Miami's side.

**Kaaya has given Miami no indications that he won't be at Miami.

**Almost not worth mentioning Valentine to Miami fans at this point...LSU

**Trending up with JC Jackson.

**Miami believes that Chad Thomas will stick, but look for them to turn up the heat in the coming days. They know that the FSU visit made an impression on him.

**As of right now, it looks like Lenius will be a part of this class.

**Miami is very much in it for Ross. Don't know if they lead, but his interest is extremely real especially after last weekend.

**They aren't recruiting any "back-up plan" types at this stage. The only prospects they are legitimately talking to are legit Miami kids.

first of all, him leaving other teams has NOTHING to do with him leaving his current commitment, Miami.

second, since all the experts including the Miami friendly Peter Ariz is predicting Valentine is gone, I believe we have no more reason to discuss his recruitment.

finally, he may or may not have been paid by LSU. but he definitely wouldn't have empty pockets had he went to Miami.

Moten is very solid, but not a game changer. Same with the JUCO guys AND we only have them for 2 years.

With no DT depth and after last year's debacle this class needs an elite DT.

Ross and Lenius are the type of under the radar/under evaluated athletes that Butch would bring in and they'd end up being studs in college.

I think JC Jackson signs with us, which is great.

Kind of going overboard there a bit arent you? Gaillard is a 4 star top DT STUD with offers from Bama, Auburn, UGA, UF, FSU, ND, and pretty much every top program. So is Moten. If we closed with those two, plus Jenkins and the JUCOs, that would be an EPIC DL class. Id obviously prefer TV, but that $hip has sailed IMO. I would be pretty content with Gaillard as a replacement.

I'm very much aware of the type of prospect that Gaillard is, but I don't think he's at the same level of Valentine (and I don't think he comes here).

On top of that, Valentine was committed to us for a good amount of time and he goes to school less than an hour away from campus. For us to lose him to a school located over 900 miles away is inexcusable. We have already seen this happen to us once before with L$U (PP) and it just goes to show how much trouble we're actually having getting local kids to stay home and go to UM.

I'm just tired of these local kids thinking that by coming to UM they would just be "settling". We need to change the way we are perceived in the South Florida community.

That makes more sense. So if he don't commit, it's obvious Golden has no plans on changing up the D.

Glad to se positive news on the chad, gaillard, ross, kaaya, Jackson and lenius front. I'm content with it. Hate to see valentine go..... But we got the jucos and moten/ and Jenkins coming in and possible gaillard
