Zion Nelson

True LT’s are hard to find, colleges aren’t producing many either that’s why there aren’t many being taking high in the NFL draft.

Hes done everything that's been asked of him to the best of his ability and he's getting better every game. Don't blame him for being on the field, blame the people who made him our best option.

Calm seas don't make great captains. Maybe this season will help make him into next year's leader.

That's all changed after doing ok vs a dumpster fire

The reason people are excited are the flashes. Zion has natural movement skills and pop on contact which can't be coached.

He's also physically and mentally tough, which is the most important thing. It would've been easy for him to go into the tank and he just kept fighting.

That's not what's ridiculous. Two games ago there's threads bashing him calling him the worst LT in Canes history. A couple weeks later he's vastly improved on his way to stardom.

He played better last week but he should be redshirting and learning to play OG. Not his fault. He has real potential but he's out of position and got thrown into the fire way too early. Fortunately it doesn't seem like it's wrecked his confidence which is a good sign.

Nah I think LT is his position. Quick feet and long arms.

**** the haters. My left tackle > yours.

Seriously tho you dont see a lot of 19 year old tackles that look like that and he still has ways to go. Im excited for him

I think he can be really good he has been getting is *** handed to him but is still going out there trying his hardestb shows that he is mentally strong. It is just a shame he is being put out there without being physically ready.

He deserved every once of it. He was quite possibly the worst OL in college football, and may have singlehandedly cost us the UF game.
If you want to lay blame on one player casting us that game, name the guy that dropped the punt on the 10 yards line and gave UF a really short field. What's that guys name?

Agree completely. 247 says he's up to 289 lbs now

Then do a better job in recruiting, criticizing the kid because he's their best option as a true freshman is foolish. Not his fault the coaches did a poor job in O Line development
I agree. I had a comment about that on another thread. How bad must our upperclassmen be to get beat out by a 2* freshman who weighed 245 pounds when he got here. That’s just bad. Very bad.
