I disagree. There’s plenty of talent. There’s just not enough of it.
 
TVD was starting to hum this year until he got hurt.

Threw for 496, 351, and had throw a TD against Duke before the injury.

Season was done on offense when he got hurt, on top of the OL injuries.

Gattis hasn’t been good, but this offense doesn’t have a chance against a defense like Clemson with a QB who cant make simple passes accurately and misses wide open TDs.

Oh what do you mean? We put so many UDFA in the NFL that have 2 year careers on average we have a ton of talent.

Let me also say, yes, if you don't have WRs that separate, stretch the field, and catch the ball consistently then you're pretty much done. I'm not sure what anyone expects. We can spread teams out but at this rate we can't block or separate well enough to make it work.

What is it you think we do well enough at this stage to compete with Clemson? If Manny was coaching they would have scored 70 and the game would have been over at the half.

So your only solution is to applaud the person who calls an HB dive, sprinkled with a QB keeper every single play?

Spread everyone out 5 wide if you have a running QB, see if they can clear out some space for him to make a play with his legs. Don’t bunch everyone in to a phone booth…

What do you mean? We were never that good.

We beat App St 25-23

We beat NC State 31-30

We beat Pitt 38-34

We beat GT 33-30

The difference is Lashlee isn’t here to bail us out from our lack of talent.

You're proving the point your arguing against


yeah our talent might lack but you're saying it IS the scheme and playcalling that's turning all those wins you listed above into all these losses and blowouts we're experiencing now

talent hasn't changed

What's even more amazing is that you think it's more likely that we recruited 60+ 4* busts instead of 1 bad coach.

We have enough good players..maybe not great, but we have enough good players that a good coach could make them look much better than they have looked.

It takes a pretty bad coach to take a bunch of 4* kids (that had offers all over the country) and make them look as bad as they've looked this year.

I expect any and every coach to do their job at a high level. Objectively speaking, how do you evaluate some of the head scratching moments? There have been some bad losses, embarrassing losses and no clear sign of improvement anywhere.

I get what you’re trying to say, he should have time to build this. I agree. If we were losing games, but playing tough, keeping them close and showing improvement that would be one thing. There is a large regression across the entire team. Not one player looks better than the year before. That’s unacceptable. That’s a failure. Evaluation has to be objective.

You are right! It had to do with heart! Talent doesn't equal to success. The want is no there and it has not for years. You can have new coaches every year, but if there is not heart the results will be the same. This team is a reflection of today's society. They want things given to them, and don't want to work for anything. You want Mario to change this program that has been dead for years in 11 months? I honestly thing dude is regreating leaving Oregon.

And a whole lot of people think we have a really bad roster of football players. There are some things that just can't be fixed in one offseason.

And he can do it at midfield at halftime of the first game cause there won’t be anyone there to watch other than whoever is leftover on the team…

No it proves my point. We’re talentless and the difference from last year to this year is a 7 point difference provided by one guy or we’re 3-9 last year.
