Zero Talent - ZERO

I think firing Gattis gets us back to neutral. The question is will Mario adapt his offensive style to something that fits the players he can recruit here. The ppl that are psyching themselves up for a player overhaul are in for a rude awakening when they realize that the "new better players" still can't score.

The problem is both Gattis and this offensive system. If Mario doesn't have some introspect and modernize this offense we're in for a prolonged painful tenure under him.

Wild. Other teams got scholarship athletes as well and they come to play against us. It's about evals, development and mental toughness. Manny didn't deliver well on any of that and Mario is doing a great job of challenging these student-athletes to be their best while maintaining morale.

Dudes wanna look **** with big chains and flashy rings but lose to FIU and get boat-raced by UNC.

This is what a gut renovation looks like y'all. It's gonna look worse before it gets better. Some y'all need to take a vacation and come back when Mario's done to admire the work.

Gattis called several TD plays, but the "talent" couldn't complete simple pitch and catch or remain in bounds to get in the endzone.

The team played hard for manny every game last year even though we started bad and he was a lame duck. How are we competing better this year?

Nobody is expecting this team to be world beaters with this roster, but 98 yards on offense is inexcusable.
Getting beat by a mediocre FSU team at home by 42 pts is inexcusable.
Getting Beat by Duke and getting drubbed by MTSU is inexcusable.
This team doesn’t even show up to play half the time.

We got knocked back both lines of scrimmage. Knighton is a slow midget who doesn’t have the speed to beat Clemson lb to the perimeter or strength to power forward for one yard.

But you’re not wrong. We have some lazy and stupid players. Jafari Harvey throwing his hands up missing a scoop and score opportunity is up there with the gators blocking themselves and Gurvan last year in terms of the dumbest **** I’ve seen.

Lo You’re an idiot. Duke didn’t beat us. Riley Leonard did and Riley Leonard is probably going to leave Duke a first rounder.

Champ, in a rebuild you are laying the building blocks for the future, and attracting talent by being competitive is key in that. The players that we have, especially on offense, are not going to be the ones executing “the new offense” when the time comes, as they will have graduated by next year or been replaced by more talented players.

You can slowly introduce concepts that are going to be important to your future offense over time, especially as you give younger players more playing time and want them to learn the right habits.

I’m all in favor of killing the current season for the sake of future ones, but 100 yard games full of HB dives aren’t exactly teaching anyone anything, champ.

playboy, our OL is decimated and our QBs either can't throw very well or have zero pocket-mobility with poor judgement. The regression is multifactorial, but let's just say these players don't fit the system.

Let me also say, yes, if you don't have WRs that separate, stretch the field, and catch the ball consistently then you're pretty much done. Competent DCs will sit on the run and you're playing in a phone booth. Unfortunately we don't have accurate QBs that process at a high-enough level to overcome those problems.

I'm not sure what anyone expects. We can spread teams out but at this rate we can't block or separate well enough to make it work.

What is it you think we do well enough at this stage to compete with Clemson? If Manny was coaching they would have scored 70 and the game would have been over at the half.

I agree to some extent but why are we performing so much worse than last year?

did our talent get worse? or was lashlee and manny diaz actually incredible at scheming up our deficiencies in talent?
