In honor of Duke after he breaks the record today. What is your favorite Duke Johnson memory?

I have to say his very first game at Boston college.

His and DP's career highlight videos will be sick.

I'll say his performance vs VT this year, but that BC game was a helluva coming out party.

This is the one that I think of. I remember being very disappointed about Lamar Miller leaving early and that game made me forget all about him. Didn't he have like 3 huge touchdown runs?

It wasn't even a game, it's just 1 play that stands out to me the most. It was hist first game against BC on a 3rd and 1 about mid field. Morris throws a swing pass to him out to to the flats and it looks like he's going to come up short. Then out of nowhere he just stuck his foot in the ground and turned up field, straight into 3 BC defenders. Didn't matter, he lowered his shoulder and powered through all 3 for like a 2 yard gain and the first down. Such a unassuming play but it left such a impression on me. He was still very slight of build then and his toughness just impressed the **** out of me.

When he finally showed up in a big game and fought through cramps against FSU in the 4th quarter and helped secure the programs biggest win in a decade.

Oh wait

And don't misunderstand me, I'm a huge Duke Johnson fan. As a player and a person. He's been the model player for this team.

That was just his moment and I'm still surprised by it.

Against Virginia Tech, Duke, UVa his freshman year and against FSU this year and last were his best performances

Explain how was Duke going to help Miami beat FSU with 2 minutes left in the game?

All we needed was 1 score to secure the win.

I don't think he finished a single drive the entire 4th quarter and most of the 3rd. We'd have a rhythm, then he'd go to the sideline, Yearby would come in and we'd stall.

All I'm saying is great backs don't take themselves out of those games

The day he committed is my single moment highlight. Everything else can be lumped together in an appreication for his entire career. Not an indictment on him but if you're going to sit around and reminisce about shining moments in individual spots that meant anything program-wise then a) you're probably just going to end up sad and b) it'll be a short conversation. Congrats on an awesome career, Duke. Too bad you weren't here during a different era or able to or put in the position to put the team on your back in a single big game victory.

We were ahead and Kaaya let Jameis take the game from him... Duke played and fought most of the 2nd half with whatever he was dealing with leading up to the time the coaches finally took him out for good. Your comments only tell me that the closest you have ever come to playing a physical sport was on playstation.

Duke was the only player on offense that played his *** off in the 2nd, fighting through the cramps, and looked like he wanted to win the game while everyone else was ****ing in their pants scared of the moment... that goes for the coaches and Kaaya.

FSU sat back in zone when Duke started cramping. They were selling out to stop him first half and we lit them up.
