Your expectations for the incoming freshmen

Curious where you guys see the incoming freshmen fitting in, as far as their roles on the team for 2018. Here's mine:

QB
Williams - Redshirt

RB
Lingard - 2nd string RB and starting KR, ends the season running for more yards than Homer
Davis - 4th string RB, backup KR and plays on all ST

WR
Pope - Rotates with Harley at slot WR, starting PR
Hightower - 2nd string behind Richards
Ezzard - Competes with Cager for 2nd string behind Thomas
Wiggins - Redshirt

TE
Jordan - Day 1 starter
Mallory - Used as a flex TE only, playing time increases as the season goes on

OL
Scaife - Starts at either RT or RG, depending on where he and Donaldson better work together
Reed - 2nd string LG (as long as he shows up in shape)
Campbell - Redshirt
*Boulware - Starts at LG

DE
Rousseau - 3rd string WDE, hopefully blocks a couple of FG

DT
Silvera - Part of the DT rotation, plays at both 3 tech and 1 tech
Miller - Plays sparingly at 3 tech, like Ford last year
*Tito - Part of the DT rotation, plays a similar # of snaps to Moten

LB
Joyner - 3rd String WLB

CB
Frierson - Starts at CB opposite Jackson (I think he beats out Dean here, especially since he's an EE), backup PR
Ivey - 2nd string CB behind Jackson
Blades - 3rd string CB, key ST player and gunner on punts
Bethel - Plays on ST only

S
Hall - Part of the rotation, also on the field on nickel/dime sets. Regardless of where he lines up, he'll play a lot. Key ST player too

K
Baxa - kicks

TRS,

Dude, I think you totally nailed it. Two thumbs up for your predictions! Well done.

Unless somenbody gets hurt, I expect that nearly none of these recruits will redshirt. We need all the CB's, DL, TE's and RB's to serve as at least depth. I think that Wiggins would be the best option for redshirting, but from what I read Wiggins is really fast and that could earn him time on special teams if he can play.

I am interested in seeing how the Homer- Linguard battle shakes out. Whoever wins, its all good for us.

I think Williams is heading for a redshirt. It will be N'Kosi vs Malik

I'm still not sure Williams redshirts. After the spring game, we can make the case, but right now he has the possibility of being a phenom. Keep in mind, for all the complaints against Rosier, Perry and Cade couldn't beat out an abhorrent Sherrifs.

We are ****ed if any of this comes to fruition

This class is going to have a high% impact this season.

Can't even pick and choose whom will do what for the mass of the class.

Just so many studs that were needed and this class filled it pretty **** good.

Williams will be the starting QB. Just go look at the highlights again. Williams is as cool as cucumber as Perry runs around like he is playing street ball.

lol Tito is going to the league. Already graded higher than Norton in the PFF.

Group 1) High likelihood of Redshirt:
Williams - If he doesn't win the job, then he's going to redshirt
Davis - RB position will be stacked if Robert Burns can stay healthy.
Wiggins - Needs to pack on the weight
Joyner
Bethel

Group 2) Possible minor contributor, but decent chance of redshirt:
Campbell
Rousseau (would be group 1 if our depth prevents that)
Miller (would be group 1 but depth prevents that)

Group 3)Highly likely to burn redshirt, good chance to be a minor contributor:
Reed
Silvera (should be group 2 but depth prevents that)
Blades - Depth issues will allow him to play
Ivy
Hall
Ezzard - Already a physical specimen. Will easily jump Langham
Hightower - Another guy who can jump Langham.

Group 4) Somewhat impactful, with the possibility of major playing time:
Jordan - I really hate to do this in general, but ill call him the best TE on the roster already
Lingard - Wouldn't be surprised if he ends the season with the second most carries and a comparable yardage total to Homer
Scaife - Seems talented enough to jump some of the vets for serious PT.
Baxa - If he is the only scholarship kicker, he is getting reps by default
George - by nature of the position, I expect the Realus to be a four year starter[/QUOTE]
Mallory - Will easily be the 2nd TE on the team
Pope - Too talented to not be a major contributor. I'm predicting he jumps Harley
Frierson

Good overall thought process. I would think that maybe Bethel is 3, if only for ST possibilities.
