Your Clemson Game Plan (Offense)

1) Put all AD funds on miami + the points
2) give up a touchdown on the first drive, or a safety if we get the ball
3) forfeit the game
4) Profit

Sneak in Cam Newton at QB, wearing Rosier’s jersey. Jimmy Graham wearing Herndon’s.

Might fool ‘em.

If our coaches are watching film on Clemson defense they are very vulnerable deep whenever no.19 is the high safety. Teams get alot of big plays when this happen. He very slow in reading routes and always looking in the backfield. So whenever he's the high safety I would attack. Just hope that our coaches notice this.

Hopefully Richt took some notes from the iron bowl and Gus. Auburn’s play calling today was outstanding and kept Bama on their heels most of the game.

However, mighty Auburn has a STRONGER and BETTER offensive line than Miami! No ifs, buts or you're a HERETIC. hUh.

I suggested we run Homer on 1st down more because CMR seems to stray away from Homer after a few failed runs. Every time UM has a 3-and-out, I hearken back to the good old days under Coker and Golden. Ugh. Homer has been the type of back that strengthens the more he runs. It can't be every 1st down, but CMR needs to stick with it more than he has. Totally agree with moving the pocket more than one time a game.

Tough break, UM won't have Herndon the rest of the season. Either MIII steps up or UM keeps it wide.

Clemson RB banged up according to Dabo's Sunday presser but expected to play...starting Mike LB has been out the past 2 weeks after being injured in FSU game...hoping he'll play also...will know more Thursday. thestate.com

Clemson front 7 is really good. I would not be running the zone read out of shotgun like we do 20 times a game. My game plan would be to do lots of quick passes, screens, and crossing routes. Run to keep them honest. Use the play clock to the fullest and keep their offense off the field.

1. Slants/Crossing routes
2. Screens (RB/bubble)
3. Use play clock

I agree with this. Can't start trying to get cute because we dropped one. Our strengths are championship level defense, big plays on the offensive side of the ball and keeping our turnovers down. I don't think we will be able to scheme past Dabo in a game of this magnitude. I would do some creative things on 3rd down on ocassion because we struggle keeping drives alive. This has killed us in the past.

We've got to execute better. I think that will be CMR plan. To late to change our identity.

If our OL continues to get knocked backward it will be a bad day for us.

I don't think it matters what formation we can conceivably run out of in this case - we don't have the skill up front to really push anyone around, much less Clemson. Also, while I may not have the tape to prove it, I'm getting the feeling watching Homer that he is struggling with his vision lately. Our offensive line is bad at run blocking, yes, but I think part of this is that Homer is often just picking the wrong damned places to run. Not seeing many attempts to cut back or bounce outside.

I think we need to go for broke, put it all on Rosier's shoulders and tell him to go out and hit the deep balls he so badly missed last Friday. If we can't hit on some big plays downfield and stretch Clemson out, we will be out of the game by the 4th quarter.

first play of the game: flea flicker. fvck em.

But seriously, tempo, misdirection and screens if it's me. I'd use motion too but that's not really CMR's thing so no point in mentioning it.

Who is it? Feaster? Etienne? Those are 2 solid guys at RB. Feaster is the main guy and Etienne is a game breaker.

Kind of have to play them the way we play FSU. Their front 7 is also good and fast. My guess is that running out of the RPO will not be very successful. From what little I've seen, Clemson plays a bunch of man. Not sure how good their DBs are.

Clemson is beatable. I'm already sick of these people over reacting to the Pitt loss and expecting us to lose by 20+. Do they not remember we have an elite defensive front 7 and their QB can't throw?

Anyway,

Short passing game and up tempo will win this game. Rosier needs to fake a bubble screen or two and hit a deep shot to keep them honest. Bubble screens can be really risky as we almost saw pitt take one to the house on a pick 6 last game. It will be a close game, just hope we're the team coming out on top

I would spread them out and make the reads easier for Rosier, like we've been doing, but also to facilitate communication on the OL. Virginia and Pitt got us with twists, stunts and CB blitzes. So will Clemson but they actually have good players.

Etienne is who he mentioned.
