I never thought he was a great difference maker as an actual HC. I always loved his energy and recruiting though and thought he was a very good leader. The recruiting and leadership and bringing the program through the ncaa cloud always outweighed my questions about his corching. That all started crumbling around UNC when we showed no ability to cover their one great player or to game plan him out of the game. It's been all downhill ever since then.

Fact is he's supposed to be a defensive specialist. And this is HIS defense. Yet, HIS defense is a urinal 3 years later, and he still has no answers for shtty offenses. That tells me that he and his Assistant HC are both morons. He's still a great recruiter but to be fielding historically bad defenses 3 years later and blowing not one but two gift chances to win the Coastal is truly unforgiveable.

He can attempt to bring me back to the cult by firing his buddy and turning over the defense entirely to a competent proven DC. But that's the only way it'll happen.
