You Want To See Quality UM LBer Play??

They still have time, but the current trio has a long way to go before they're in the company of those listed by PAR.

bernuda triangle was the best we had for sure... the thought that our current guys were the modern bermuda triangle has proven incorrect..however, the three guys we have coming in next year- Avery Huff, Keontra Smith (if he plays LB for us) and Sam Brooks could be.

Just watch vilma in the rose bowl. Guy was a monster that game.
everyone talks about the U saying were TEU but we have had some special LBs

The trio of Winston Moss, George Mira, Jr., and Rod Carter wasn't bad either.

It's just too bad that Mira Jr. gets an * by his career for steroid use.

Miami has had some great trio's in its time. Barrow, Armistead and smith are at the top. Other groups like James Burgess, ray Lewis and Twan Russell were good. Nate Webster, Dan Morgan and Chris Campbell. Jon Vilma, Roger McIntosh and DJ Williams were good groups
I like that Lewis, burgess, Russell trio... Man knocking heads off..

Then go watch UM vs Penn St 91 & 92
And UM vs FSU 91 & 92......THAT'S how your LBer corp is supposed to look....F all that "it was 26yrs ago.....Those LBers for FSU (Shadetree, Carruthers, and Brooks) were No joke as well.....[/QUOT
ManPower4 -
Barrow, Armstead and Smith stand out as the number 1 trio although the Vilma, DJ Williams Mcintosh trio were drafted higher as a unit.

Webster, Morgan, and Michael Smith were outstanding as a unit. Chris Campbell replaced Smith in the lineup after Smith was inj vs penn st and lost for the year.
The most underappreciated trio may have been the 89 group of Tiger Clark, Mo Crum, and Richard Newbill....They were producers on arguably UM best defensive unit ever.

The current linebacker starting group is average by Miami standards

I like the upside of Jennings and Wilder much, much more (Jennings is already starting to flash).

I go with the 91 Defense...statistically UMs best ever....between Lethal 3 and that DL.....smh

Maannnn...Tiger Clark filled in for a suspended Mira in the OU NC game, & made every other LBer on the field look pedestrian....Bernard Clarks performance that game is Top 5 Def performances in UM History....

Shaq & Pinkney will be the next McIntosh & Norton if they leave early. Neither will test all that well I have a hunch either. Would be a monumental mistake for both.

We only 2 weeks into the season lol

Can they get a full season and then you make your opinions known. Smh

Well, one thing is certain. One of those guys needs to start leading the team in tackles.

This is no knock on Jaquan Johnson, but as long as he is leading the team in tackles we know we're getting subpar LB play.

And I think all 3 of the Bermuda Triangle were in the league for a decade or so - I doubt there are any trios from a college that can top that.
