"Easily" being a relative term but follow me here and allow yourself to look ahead despite how you might somehow think it distracts our team:

Miami, Alabaga and Chokelahoma all win out. They're all in. Who is (not necessarily who should be) the 4th team in? 2 loss conference champion Da Ohio State Suckeyes as it certainly won't be the Pac 23 champion and Clemson won't get the benefit of the doubt that may have once been extended to a 2 loss SEC runner-up.

Now think about seeding. Baga would still (of course) be 1. We'd move to 2, Chokelahoma to 3 and the Suckeyes to 4.

Don't know about you but I'm already preparing Terry Porter signs to take to Atlanta.

Nice idea, but how can the CFB justify Ohio State as #4 ? Iowa beat them by 31 points within the last month. Do losses not count?

The only two-loss team deserving a spot in the CFB is Auburn, if they beat Bama and repeat a win over Georgia in the SEC CG. This would give Auburn two wins over a #1 ranked team (UGA, Bama) and a second win over UGA.

Remember, I'm saying what would happen not what should happen. The Committee will itch to throw a conference champ OSU in there.

Your Auburn situation is different though as then that knocks Baga out of the SECCG and then we have a case where The Committee itches to put Baga in at 4 when they sat at home with 1 loss during Conf Championship Weekend.

4th team in has to be Wisconsin if they win out. I think they would rather put a 2 loss SEC team in over Ohio State, who knows though

Wisky winning out is a completely different scenario and I'm the FIRST guy to scream SEC bias BUT I think them putting in OSU and avoiding the ridicule of allowing 2 teams from the same conf in while snubbing a conf champion would win out here. Not to mention that OSU is somehow viewed as a "Blue Blood" program by dolts nationally.

It would be satisfying to beat their Buckeye asses after the worst call in football history - **** most people were already in their cars leaving the stadium by the time that ref threw it.

If Miami, Oklahoma, Alabama and Ohio State all win out:

Clemson, Wisconsin, Auburn and Georgia are all eliminated.

That leaves the committee with:

9-2 Notre Dame with the 7th best SOS and 8th best SOR (Losses to 11-2 Georgia and 12-0 Miami)
10-2 Ohio State with the 53rd best SOS and 15th best SOR (losses to 7-5/6-6 Iowa and 12-1 Oklahoma)

This would be crazy tough for the committee, the money cancels out. Do you want Alabama/Notre Dame or Alabama/Ohio State?

As much national slurpage as Notre Dame gets I think they'd get penalized for not playing in a conf championship game AND for getting curbstomped by us.

I'd feel ZERO sympathy for them too. Join a cot**** conference, idiots.

As much as I would love to beat Taint, I would rather see their fans cry over not making the playoff. Praying Michigan or Wisconsin finds a way to beat them.

I recognize you're not advocating the situation.

A 2-loss Auburn SEC Champ in the CFB may also put a 2-loss OSU Big 10 champ in as well. I am contradicting my first reply, and maybe that is the way it should be. Winning a conference should count more than 'reputation' votes and style points. More so if you beat higher ranked teams along the way.

USC could be top 6 by the end of the conference title games, that win could push ND ahead of Ohio State.

If Washington wins the Apple Cup that puts USC and Stanford in the Pac-12 Title Game, both teams that ND would have beaten.

That could be big.

Fvck tainted they don't deserve a **** thing getting curbstomped 2times, would make the CFP committee lose any credibility they may have left

Do losses not count? Depends if playoff committee will make excuses for you. Clemson, oh lost qb (even though they were losing when they went out, they could see in their crystal balls that Bryant would have engineered an amazing comeback). Ohio State? Well, they didn't get enough sleep the night before their games due to uncomfortable mattresses. So those losses are excused as well. Wouldn't be surprised if the committee puts fsu in, because they can "project" that with Francois they might be undefeated. Actual wins and losses are irrelevant.

I feel like I'm taking crazy pills, how is this even gaining steam? A three loss Aub team would make more sense , especially if they lost a close game to bama. That's three close losses compared to two absolute butt rapings.

They were destroyed twice!!!! Hello .....not beaten .....murdered.

This is insanity.

Yes, I hear you. But do Auburn and OSU deserve a berth if they win out and win their conference by beating higher ranked teams? I dislike OSU as much as any poster. But they could win their way in.

Maybe Harbugh gets his win over Meyer (unlikely), or Wisconsin takes care of business and beats OSU.

Most of our kids were 5. Ohio State means very little to the current crew. You get a real revenge game in two weeks with Clemson. The upperclassmen were all part of that 58-0 embarrassment. Can't write a better script knocking off the defending national champions for the conference championship and a playoff berth. Nobody could have envisioned Miami in the playoffs 24 months later.

We will meet Taint again some day. Urban Liar is too good a coach to allow his program to be out of the National Championship conversation for too long.

When we do, it needs to be a merciless beatdown.

In your scenario with us 2 and tOSU 4th we’d play Oklahoma not them....Bama would be the ones that got to clean their clocks again.

Having said that we have 2 games to worry about before we worry about scenarios

My hypothetical was a national championship rematch with them. That's why I said about bringing the sign to Atlanta.
