Now this is also true. I’ll give him credit for that - he did hit on Dawson and got Cam. Two big steps in the right direction regarding his stereotypes on offense.
And I do think once in a blue moon, he’ll get a good DC…third time’s the charm?
But what worries me most is the holes on the roster that are reoccurring issues, the poor evaluations in those rooms, and the lack of development in those rooms. And that’s supposed to be his forte, what he’s known for and what he’s paid for.
Year 3, I’m underwhelmed to date.

Lashlee doing more with less. He’s a better coach overall compared with Mario. What he has done with his transfers, especially Brashard at running back (could’ve saved that Martinez $$ as much as I love Martinez) and elsewhere on the roster.
Mario is getting everything he wants and still can’t succeed here.
Mario could only win 5 games with Manny’s players where any other competent coach would’ve won 7 games while still being able to reconstruct the team.
In today’s college football, what you need is a prolific offense and a competent defense.
Mario has, in his 3 years, had a debacle of an offense and then a debacle of a defense getting something wrong each and every season.
Kiffin, Lashlee, Fickle,….. ****, even Fran Brown don’t need everything to be perfect to win and turn programs around.
Schuman at Oregon has taken Oregon to heights Mario only ever dreamed off.
Mario is just not a good coach. We are stuck with him. To me, he gets until year 5 and then you really have to reevaluate the situation. Miami is not going to fire him anytime in the next 2 season. He will get to the end of year 5 and then if everything is the same or nearly the same, you have to make a decision.
The amount of money and resources he has received for a 22-15 record at Miami, 84-75 is pathetic!!
Lashlee is 29-10 overall.
My realistic proposal: 2 year leash and then cut bait.
