Our OL might be the worst it's been in a long long time.

This offense is Patrick Nix-esque. No rhyme or reason to anything we do. Nothing. Ironically our offense is going to bring our defense down this year.

Nebraska, Va Tech (10 sacks maybe more), FSU and Virginia are 100% going to crush our OL. It's going to be a **** joke.

Next weekend might be the downfall of Golden but I don't want to get my hopes up just yet.

Bloodbath of the year goes to:

Va Tech

Night game in Blacksburg? Golden might **** his pants when they start playing enter the sandman.

On the bright side, the pleated khakis Golden wears have a 48" elastic extend-o-band waist so when the turds do begin to flow out of him, they'll slide unnoticed down his leg and onto the Lane Stadium turf.

I have to believe that somewhere in that gelatinous, twinkie filled mass of a human being an actual Head Football Coach exists. One that has pride and resolve and not just quips and sound bytes. I THINK Golden is a POS as a coach, but I am HOPING he proves me wrong. 11-37 lifetime against teams with winning records. SMH

unfortunately you are probably right. If you cant protect your qb or open holes for your rb how will we score? if you combine it with a true freshman qb, we have the makings of an absolute disaster. I am hoping that we can do more 2 tight end formations and pound the ball and max protect for the qb and hope he has time to make some throws. we do have some talent at the skill position.

I know it was only famu but the defense did pretty, I think they will keep some games close giving us a chance.

The good news is we don't play vt till late October and that o-line could only get better by then. the coaching staff has to be trying to figure something out to make that line better. I am not as scared of Nebraska after yesterday.

they were running 4 and 4 spread. Clive cost us 2 td's. plus, Gadbois made a few mistakes.

I will go a little positive.

Armbrister of all people has played at an all conference level so far as has Chick.
bush is all over field.
We had alot of freshmen play and they showed flashes. Jenkins, Owens, Chad,
Yearby, Berrios, etc. all really looked talent. glad they got reps.

VT was very impressive last night. Not just from a defensive standpoint but they have a nice offense as well. That QB doesn't get rattled and hangs in here, a death blow to our defense the last few years. They will put up points.

When Foster smells blood, it's......terrifying. That night could get really ugly.

Yesterday told me that we still have talent on offense, but have no semblance of a gameplan nor flow to playcalling. #thankscommaPrickoSuave

It also told me that yes--we now have a competent D. Notice I didn't say good, just competent. Last year, with a competent D...we probably win 1 or 2 more ballgames. DB's have to be more aggressive in coverage, though. There have been chances to pick off both Louisville and FAMU's QB, but they were out of position. They have to do better.

Yesterday told me that Justin Vogel is as solid a punter as O'Donnell was last year. He's also not bad at all on kickoffs. Goudis, on the other hand, his job needs to be up for grabs this week. Badgley, Semerene, and whatever other walk-ons they want to give a shot to take his job (maybe Vogel too?) let them compete. Either Goudis gets his **** together, or we find someone who can take his job and be consistent with it.

Also...I want to see us play with speed on Offense. ****, go no-huddle to wake these guys up. Give Kaaya a script of about 10-12 plays out of the Spread, call them in from the sideline, and speed up the game. We play better when we play simpler and faster. We play worse when Pricko Suave has time to think, and decides it's a fabulous idea to give Dorsett a run-pass option off a reverse from the 8 yard line going in. Part of Kaaya's problem is that he's spending more time thinking and less time reading and throwing the ball. Make it quicker and easier so his instincts can shine.

Good points. Players are clearly not the problem anymore, if they ever were. Well, right side of Oline looks bad and that might not be just bad coaching.

How about I watched the entire VTech game yes it was more **** entertaining then watching our guys not high five or get excited. They blitzed **** near every down. ILB twist, delayed blitz, you name it. Nothing, but A gap blitzes.

VT actually has a very solid poised QB this year too. Good thing Folden went and got us **** Heaps instead of Brewer.

I have this sickening feeling in the pit of my gut that Ryan Williams might come back and pull out just enough wins to save Al's fat ***.

You're falling for the banana in the tail pipe with regard to our defense.

after i saw VT last night....

Al might as well start now...

The defense looked good early last year as well until the offense continued to look like crap!!! This crap we are putting out there is just ridiculous.

Yes we have a freshman qb but a TON of experienced talent on offense. Dorsett caught 50+ passes toe years ago. Where was coley yesterday.

Waters ran a route wrong and clive cost us two tds in red zone. Clive also blew a block on Duke's big run. You can't make these mistakes with a true fresh

OP is 100% on point. If our defense had not given the offense short fields for most of the first half that would have actually been a tight game last night. Between the charmin soft o-line and the comically bad play calling, this offense is an absolute disaster.

This conservative playcalling bull sh¡t has golden written all over it, the louisville game was horriblely called on a offense standpoint, last night i was at the game and focused on the routes of the recievers, and there were good play routes and then there were some that scratched my head, hes playing more crossing routes which is all good and all but the QB needs to throw at the right time and read the D better, coley needs to do better easy first read plays, hes making kaaya scan the field too much, which isnt good with this O-line, he called a lot of aggressive plays last year even against savannah st, in this game it was more slants and crossing routes just like the louisville game, he just seems he is too affraid to call some plays down field, kaaya did miss a lot of recievers down field and threw some ducks on screen plays, the playcalling is too conservative they need to open up and they also need quick throws, easy first reads, quick hitches, quick slants, you know stuff you need to do when you have a crappy O-line and a inexperienced QB, just my thoughts on what i saw
