What We've Seen So Far Around College Football
- NIL is working as designed
-- Many of us said it would take a few seasons....there would be a tipping point...peanut butter would get spread across more slices of bread...not across everyones tables, but certainly across more programs...we are seeing it now for sure
-- NIL "attacked" the big boys' supply lines...hard to rotate in your 2/3 deep of 5*/4* players when they are suited up on the other sideline
- Like we've said for years...Big10 and SEC are frauds in their bottom half, really 2/3rd...they aren't "superpower conferences", but rather regular conferences that happen to have Alabama and Georgia...I refuse to acknowledge Michigan or OTaint as "superpower" programs...
- LSU, so far, isn't as "bad" as FSU fans crowed about in "domination"
- Bama, so far, is vying for King of Suck Balls Mountain and could be headed for 3 losses (maybe more) if they don't get their **** together in a hurry...I love it, you love it, we all love it

What We've Seen From Miami As A Team
OL
-This unit makes EVERYTHING happen for top 10 teams...EVERYTHING...ACCEPT IT...que Cinderella's, You Don't Know What You Got Until It's Gone
- 1/1.5-ish deep vastly improved from anything we've seen in 20 years
-- Not even same team as what is behind them...they are the minimum of what is necessary to compete as true top 10
- 2-ish+ deep is what we've seen for last 10 years
-- Absolute basura meng that was evenly matched with Bethune-Cookman...no wait...was actually bull rushed and ***** slapped by Bethune...let that sink in

TE
- Some key catches throughout season, but really key contributors as extra OL...huge blocks
- Skinner looks so underweight doesn't he?
- Will we ever see Arroyo reach his potential?

WR
- So far, dropsies seem buh byesies
- Isn't it great to have OL give QB time to come back and get open to help him out?
- TVD and X are on Vulcan mind meld level through 3 games
- Young doing his best to make a statement as is Smith
- Ray Ray is trying too hard and perhaps not letting his natural talent just flow

RB
- Isn't great for RBs to stick a foot in ground at LoS and go because OL has handled their business rather than getting hit at the handoff most of the time?
-- These guys aren't afraid of anyone's secondary at all
- Fletcher is only going to get harder to tackle for DBs as he gets bigger and stronger
- Imagine Chris Johnson's runs when he hits a crease provided to him by OL1...that young man has wheelie wheels

QB
- I was WRONG about TVD when he has time
-- He has accuracy when he has it and not pressured
- Playing with growing confidence that either air or ground attack can keep Miami going when one phase stalls
- Emory showing makings of good QB, won't know until he takes snaps behind OL1...still ways to go
- Does Brown stick as QB? WR? TE? Guy is built like a movie star athlete

P
- Aussie! Aussie! Aussie! Oui! Oui! Oui!
- We only need rugby style kickers for from Aussie/NZ kicking academy

PK
- Borgy Borge putting almost everything into endzone on kickoffs...a good thing
- Gotta make those long range FG...could have cost Miami dearly against aTm

PR/KR
- If you can't catch the ball, no amount of speed or elusiveness is worth anything

OC
- Homerun hire
- Trusts air and ground capabilities of Miami's attack
- Playcalling has kept DCs on their heels, but CRITICAL his 1st down runs stay on schedule and/or WR make catches
-- He looks fantastic because players are making him look fantastic and vice versa...isn't it great to see a Miami engine running again!
- Miami must eliminate dumb dumb drive killer penalities for rest of season

DL
- This unit makes EVERYTHING happen for D on top 10 teams...see a theme?
- I believe a bit deeper than OL...1/2-ish deep pretty good...
- Disruptions have great knock-on effects for LBs and DBs
- 2.5-ish deep pretty bad and long way to go
- Bain is a freak and should have a very high ceiling

LB
- Deeper, but fall off at 2.5-ish guys and it showed against Bethune painfully
- Franciso much better than anything we've seen in years
- All LBs playing much "faster"...I believe due to coaching and better DL play

DB
- Kam is great...hope he can continue safely
- J Williams is a large man with tremendous speed...if only his brain engaged as quickly to not get penalties to hurt himself or team...to be honest...could be 2nd coming of Sean Taylor if he puts it all together
- DBs at 2-ish+ are frightful...as bad as their OL trash heap compadres...long, long, LONG way to go if they ever get there

DC
- What we hoped Manuela's Ds would be consistently
- Somehow Guidry and his Assistants have taught players to tackle...what a novel concept
- Like Dawson, he's a keeper

What Does The Smudgy Crystal Ball Show Us For The Rest Of Miami's Season?
- Will injuries derail this team's future by dredging up 2.5/3 deeps from the bottom...if so, just stop reading and emotionally prepare for roller coaster of what we've seen past 10 years, if this doesn't happen or you are just a glutton for punishment, continue
- Mario arrived with benefit of doubt as Super Mario Cristobigballs
-- He quickly, fair/unfair, fell to Earth as Big Manny
-- Like Phoenix rising from the ashes...we are seeing glimmers through the flames of Super Mario...we all want it to be true
- I want to believe Alonzo Highsmith has made a huge impact behind the scenes...as in give him a statue outside Hecht type value (if he stays long enough) when all is said and done...am I wrong?
- Team must remain relentlessly focused on next play/next 1st down...every single game is winnable, but also can turn into MTSU bukkake session in a hurry...I want to believe the program has turned a page on that
-- What concerns me are Mario's dual Utah beat downs his last season at Oregon...I'm sure we could debate endlessly the root cause(s), let's hope he's learned from it
- We WANT aTm to make a strong run in SEC...like run the table strong
- Like week 2, UNC game is mile marker for season and program
-- SO FAR...they haven't done anything that makes me believe our Canes can't give them a very good game and more...no reason to fear the Tar Heels
- SO FAR Clemson is not what they once were, again, what is there to be afraid of?
- Hear me speak these words before you throw darts laced with poison frog venom...we WANT FSU to win out until our Canes roll into Tally on 11 Nov (my heart wants Clemson to hang 100 on them)
-- SO FAR...there is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING our Canes need to be afraid of against FSU...in fact...if aTm and Noles played tomorrow in any stadium, I'd rate it a toss up
- Will our Canes stumble this season? Maybe, but I have to say, maybe not, and for the first time in forever, that isn't me talking through orange and green tinted glasses
-- Mario and Co are building a program...stack 2024 and 2025 with big boy OL and DL (the other rooms come naturally) and Miami fuccin, fuccin, fuccin, fuccin

Go Canes!

Season 4 Wow GIF by The Office

I actually read all that. Can’t argue with most of it. The most encouraging thing
for me so far is Mario punting on his coordinator hires from last year and hiring the 2 guys he did this year. Those 2 hires ditch the narrative that Mario is a Neanderthal that wants to ground and pound on O and play not to lose on D.

I’m sure there is some great **** in there but my attention span wouldn’t let me get through 1/8 of this War and Peace recreation.
