We could run two different pass plays with different personnel and someone on here’s will say we ran the same play. But WR’s are always running open so 🤷🏽‍♂️

And I’m fine with a loss against a good team (at this point) if they actually show more signs than not of one day being a team that can compete for the playoff year after year.

Yeah, unfortunately we're further away from that than just hiring new coaches, I'm afraid. The teams that have consistently competed for playoff spots is a pretty short list.

I’m surprised you are actually aware of something. You basically admit we are a medicore team with this reponse.

You mean only year three. Which if your fair is only 2 recruiting classes. They've improved each year. We dont know how we will finish this year.

I was here for the 80's, 90's, 2001 canes teams. Your lying if you say they dominated every game.

Seems that Richt has already corrected the penalty issue we had in the LSU game which was uncarteristic of his teams.

Re read original post. No one said a ******* thing about dominating. I said play sound football. We have yet to play a sound game yet. We have yet to have a phase of the game played soundly. This is year 3 not 2. Level of play is expected to much better then what we see

No more shaky punt protections, no more kicks out of bounds are just examples.

I figure Miami will lose ONE conference game, and go into the conference championship game with a 10-2 record. I just hope Va. Tech has two conference losses at the end of the season, and I believe they play mighty Clemson. So the Coastal will probably come down to the November game. Ouch.

Been swamped at work so haven't been on the boards in a while so not sure why the huge issue with the OP but his point is accurate. You could see after the LSU game all the weaknesses we had last year were still present. OL/QB/Punter/3rd down efficiency on both sides/silly penalties you name it. That was masked by 31 TO's last year but we can't count on 31 TO's every year.

I'm not writing the season off but hard to believe we aren't going to struggle and lose some games when our coaches haven't been able to clean up any of the issues from prior season.

It's frustrating watching some coaching decisions during games. Even just some time management and roster decisions. At the end of the first half with 40 seconds and a time out, why not throw one pass or hand off and see if the RB can rip off 15/20 yards. If he doesn't take a knee and go to half. Teams across the country do that. Late and the game and up why do we NEVER get our back up some meaningful reps. It's why we end up in a position late in a game against a team like Pitt with no experienced QB to come in and lead a come back.

Richt seems like a great man but he seems just as stubborn as Golden was. Glaring issues but refuses to make any changes to correct them. So I can't imagine any of the issues correcting themselves before years end.

So lets hope for alot of turnovers.

This is why people in sports laugh at message boards. You actually believe that the coaches don't try to improve things during the week. Like, no exaggeration, you really think that way.
 
Miami has some dumb fans. We are in a better place then we have been in 15 + years. You don't turn around a crap program , which we have been since 07-08 or so in 2 years. We won 9 games in year one ,10 in year 2 ( and it would of been 11 if not for a hurricane ) and will win 12 this year. We are a top 15 team and I suspect will end the season ranked somewhere between 5-10 . We will in the Coastal for a 2nd year and make a major bowl game . We need a better OL but the talent in the young players is promising . Our D has elite talent but not great depth , our O has elite talent everywhere except QB and OL and our young QBs are future ( especially Williams) but Rosier is the best option this season. What is the funniest part is so many on here have no broad veiw . When we go on to win 10 game in a row this season people will overrate us and then when Clemson beats us 28-21 in the ACCTG they will underrate us. Nothing is as ever has good or as bad as sport fan thinks it to be . We are not back but we are closer then we have been since 2003.
