Yea, so.. probably time to pump the brakes a little

I’ve completely reset my expectations. It’s going to take a massive effort to beat Notre Dame. And as I mentioned in a previous thread, some games I thought wouldn’t be too challenging now look pretty difficult, 11-2, 10-3 would not surprise me.
Anybody agreeing with this abortion of a post needs to keep the same energy when we’re headed to Vegas to get #6

I’m worried about the o line. But I 100% trust Mirabal and Mario to get this o line together before ND. Don’t know if that involves moving players around or just getting the starters playing better. But I trust them. We will be a lot better at the end of the year in all facets. Just need to keep chopping wood

So we’re not winning the ACC still? lol. We will see what Louisville does with Wake next week. I think if massive changes are made on the o-line and that gets figured out we can still go undefeated in the conference. Our schedule is pretty **** soft.

I would not be surprised with 8-4 at this point and could also still see a path to 11-1 or 12-0. If the offensive line doesn’t change drastically, it’s probably closer to 9 or 10 wins.

Are people really surprised about what happened last night? With all the injury scares we had, it was pretty obvious we were going to play conservative and cautious. Saw that coming from a mile away
It’s like these dude know nothing about about how a football games flows..the offense went into a shell when Mali, Lofton , Fletcher & Marty got banged up,wow shocker

This team is winning the National Championship. Period. There is absolutely nothing anyone can say at this point that is going to make me think otherwise.

We are literally watching a once in a lifetime QB performance, and somehow y’all are in here crying. 😂

Through 3 games, Mensah is 71-79 passing, 90% completion, 11 TDs, and 0 INTs.

Do y’all realize how absolutely ridiculous that is????

90% completion, 11 touchdowns, ZERO interceptions, to only 8 incompletions. Most QBs aren’t completing 90% of their passes in a 7-on-7 with no pass rush. 😂 And y’all are complaining???

Sit back and appreciate what we’re watching. Because this is special.

We have a very talented and deeply flawed team. The score is what it was but we came very close to ******** the pooch tonight. My hope is it was just one of *those* games like BC 2001. Not panicking but that was such a rancid half of football you can't help but wonder if it's time to reset expectations, particularly with the injuries piling up. We'll see.
Last year Indiana came one incredible catch away from losing to a horrible Pedo St team. This was a classic take your foot off the gas situation that we’ve been known to do. Are we perfect no, but we are very good.

We won by double digits on the road with a massive amounts of injuries against a 9 win team from last

Trumpycane isn’t happy with the 2nd half but we won by double digits

Go and see how many times struggle today to win

Ehh i was nearly ready to crown Mensah as better than Cam but yeah this O is not 2024. An elite O doesn't have 6 straight 3 and outs against a ****** WF defense. I get college football can be weird at times but we got exposed in the 2nd half. Terrible OL play, bad playcalling, no one getting open, Mensah look shook, injuries. sheesh. We need work

That’s hurtful. 😆
If you think that second half effort will beat ND, or Clemson, Pitt, VT **** maybe even FSU then we’ll have to agree to disagree.
I’d like nothing more than to be wrong, and maybe it’s knee-jerk, but that was fugly.

Heck, let’s look at our own team last year. We almost chocked the ND and FSU game. We played way too conservative against Florida, VT and Stanford. Don’t even get me started on SMU and Louisville

Marcelin looks good every time he gets on the field. Our starting linebackers are bad. I’d rather get the young guys more and more time and deal with the growing pains and improve as the year goes on. We’ve seen the ceiling of Chase Smith and Toure and it’s not good. Toure makes great hits
Every now and then but overall is a liability.

SJ is just flat out too small and that can’t really change or improve during the season. He will get destroyed all season, especially when we do face good teams. Only time will tell if Wake is a good team. They have a lot of grit and toughness. Their DC owned Dawson, mentally last night. Good thing we have another cupcake next week to work on some things. At the same time, the results may be deceiving.
Agree about Marcelin

Wake forest is probably the best acc opponent we have on the schedule, and we still beat them by 13. With all the injuries

While SJ is a clear liability the OL didn't play well as a unit ..... it's going to cost Miami a game or two especially constantly running the dive behind small interior lineman with no power .... Dawson's funky play calling didn't help Mensah escape that crowd noise off his a$$....

Beck was use to playing in loud SEC environments throughout the season with heavy implications....that type of experience was valuable to overcome surges of pressure at Miami ....Mensah didn't function like a capable (national championship) leader with a target on his back when it counted most imo....he definitely has to consistantly develop and show that ability if Miami is going back to the playoffs...

Defensively, LB and nickel are going to be targeted by every opponent smh....hopefully they're able to fix this or its going to be more nail biters against teams Miami should easily beat....
