Did I say those teams accomplished anything? The goal is winning the natty. You see a troubling trend it needs to be called out.

We’ve covered the spread in every game and beaten 3 ranked opponents and an unranked team that just waxed the #7 team in the country.

The trend is penalties and sloppy execution. Frustrating as ****, but those can be fixed.

A broken defense, which was clear after VT and Cal, cannot be. It’s apples to oranges this year.
 
Someone needs to introduce Mario to Mortal Combat………Finish Them!!!! ****, love that we are 5-0, but my god, I’m tired on sweating late when we have dominated all game.
 
Game was over at 28-3. Mario did not coach poorly. The game was coached with time in mind. The final outcome was j uh st desperation ball. Had it been 28-3 at the half the game we ould has been coached differently. We have beaten ND, FSU and UF this season, have a couple of star Frosh balling alongside some amazing defensive play and a solid offense. Enjoy this canes. The itching is either moles on this site or people that don’t understand football

It's shouldn't, stop acting like it's 2001 and we should be winning by 40 every night. We just beat our Rivals and dominated the vast majority of the game. They scored some garbage time TDs when the game was out of reach. We are 5-0 and now play the easiest part of our schedule, just enjoy it.

Agreed. But there are no easy games. Every game counts, last years nightmare losses cost us. We are who we are, now.. but this team I believe is still getting its footing and will continue to evolve and improve as we move forward. Every game provides us with obstacles and coaching opportunities. Where we stumble and step back, We step up and move forward. We are always a work in progress, if we stop moving we get left behind and fall by the wayside. 🙌🏽Go Canes

I'm delighted with the win, but in context it's a disappointing result.

We were 28-3 up heading into the 4Q - complete domination. Instead of crushing their souls and ruining their big recruiting weekend we've let them score 19 unanswered and have their QB spouting "Man it was close, we beat ourselves" with conviction.

We nearly lost the Notre Dame game (another team we thoroughly pummelled for most of the game) through the same attitude. It's a problem that Cristobal needs to fix or it will catch up with us

Offense just needs to hit the kill shot when “that drive” comes up

Sometimes it’s in the 4th quarter. Sometimes the 2nd or 3rd

You know it when it happens

We’ve played a lot of tough teams and I’m wary of it but let’s make sure we fix this when we play this ACC schedule. Put teams away and make sure we are resting in the 4th

We will drop one of those 'easy' games if we continue to let teams hang around. That's what the ACC does to us. We're everyone's National Championship game. They'll bring their A game - if we play down to them, eventually someone will string together enough plays to beat us.

Nobody is saying "Man this team should beat everyone by 40!" We simply don't have an explosive enough Offence for that. What we should do, however, is keep our foot on their neck when they're down.

We didn't do it against Notre Dame Florida and now Florida State. Three big wins, out of context - but all closer in score than the games actually were.

last year around this time, i had never been happier 5 games into a season. this year surpasses that by far, because the potential is evident. going straight to the board to ***** about a lazy finish when we are accomplishing what we are this year is super telling for a portion of the fan base.

We have been on the FSU side of these types of games a lot when we are trying to justify losing with moral victories. They didn't beat themselves we beat them and then when into prevent defense and tried to kill the clock on offense which worked. The only real issue I have with the 4th qtr is Mario not kicking the FG which made absolutely zero sense. You kick the FG to go up 31-19 and now FSU needs 2TDs in 3 mins to win instead of a TD plus FG
