Y’all need to read this!

Nationally, South Florida is known for speed and athletes. Universities aren't recruiting down here because the talent is tough, coach-able, or they have that "dog" that is only in South Florida. It is speed and athleticism, plain and simple. In the modern recruiting game, we are losing our best year in and year out down here at what we specialize in. How many skill position players have we put in the first two roads in the last ten years?

You guys are just looking at the results and now saying we take the wrong South FL recruits. Look at the high school film. 4 years ago no one would have taken elijah moore over mark pope. No one and if you say so your lying to yourself. People keep hashing that we take the wrong recruits and then bring up the names that did ball but weren't better players than the ones we did take.

Agree. And you can't prove that Mark Pope would be successful at Ole Miss and Elijah Moore would have been successful here. Zay Flowers would not have done anything special here. He is a product of BC's system and buying in to their culture and work ethic.

Yes. South Florida kids aren't hard workers. They're all spoiled, soft, entitled, brats.
That must be why so many of them make the NFL.

Man GTFOH with this dumb ****. I'm tired of this narrative on here.
When you dumb MF'ers gonna realize that (1) we're not getting the right SOFLO kids and (2) our leadership is trash.

At a certain point blaming the kids or society is an extreme cop out to the fact that we’ve been criminally bad at evaluating & developing these kids at Miami.

it’s heartbreaking to admit, but at this point 20 years on since our last competent staff as a whole it’s all there for everyone to see.

We've had 20 years of garbage football at Miami. During that time, we've had 5 different head coaches, countless coordinators, a few athletic directors and two different university presidents.

The ONLY constant during that entire period is South Florida kids.... one after the other.... who don't live up to the undeserved hype.

You want to blame coaching - that's part of it, but it defies belief that FIVE coaches in a row have been that terrible, and god knows how many coordinators. Maybe some of the blame is with the one thing that we haven't changed - the kinds of kids we recruit.

****, we had Mark Richt here during that period - and he's one of the winningest coaches in college football history. But if you listen to folks on here, he somehow forgot how to coach when he came to Miami.

The "blame everything on the coaches and nothing on the kids" excuse is getting old.
lol Miami has some dumb fans
