The only refs comparable to the ACC refs were the big 10 refs this year. I was having PTSD with the reffing last night, although it always seems to start with the presnap penalties, then the flood gates open. The hold on the TE was bogus too compared to other blatant holds all night. Those two conferences need to get the reffing fixed. Not a shock the big 10 crew tried to get back at Xavier Lucas.

Conference as in the acc?So Miami/Lucas cannot appeal however, the conferences can review the play. Then the conference could rescind the first-half suspension.
I’m always amazed at the breadth of knowledge on CIS. We have posters with knowledge or expertise in so many areas. Thank you. They can appeal, and the conference will send it to the national coordinator but here's the catch. Steve Shaw is the national coordinator and he's buddies with all the other officials + their assignors - the Big Ten in this case. So if he were to overturn the suspension, its somewhat a slap in the face to the Big Ten officials and their assignor - Bill Carollo
Shaw walks a fine line, and honestly has a difficult job because he has no real authority, but it is not in his best interest to overturn this. Side note -> I have no doubt in my mind that Carollo himself was involved in that replay because this was a national semifinal game
I think it'll get looked at, but I'm not holding my breath that it'll get overturned.
Does the appeal go to the big ten because it was their officials? If that is the case we’re screwed cause we play a big ten team in the titleThe ACC can appeal the suspension portion to the NCAA’s national coordinator of football officials. The coordinator reviews the video evidence independently. The suspension will be vacated only if it is clearly obvious that the disqualification was incorrect (i.e., no targeting occurred).
same thing with simpsonWe're a MASH unit at corner. And Thomas got a little banged up too, but seems okay.
This is your stage freshies. Go get some.
And Brantley, I get it with the stupid portal timeline. But bruh..
No it would go to the National Coordinator of Officials - Steve ShawDoes the appeal go to the big ten because it was their officials? If that is the case we’re screwed cause we play a big ten team in the title
jesus FML. The Bauman "hold" was just a baaad. The Holds on Bain late in the game that didn't get called... We were warned about Big reffing and Lo and Behold...The only refs comparable to the ACC refs were the big 10 refs this year. OJ will be ready for the title game and shutting down one side of the field, but he only played series in the first quarter. Believe me, if OJ was in there at the end of the game, it would be virtually impossible to move the ball like that.He was out whole half unless he came in on the final 2 drives
