JFC dude. Are you the Titan’s beat writer? How the F do you know that much about the Titans WR depth?Restrepo making the initial 53 may come down to ST impact or just them keeping 7 WRs on the roster, which would be unusual. I mean teams rarely keep 7 on the roster, and almost never do for the full season. I wouldn't be shocked if they did just entering the season with 7 with expectations with injuries it'll sort itself out or with just the hopes that eventually the rookie earn the jobs and the vets can be cut...
Obviously Titans are keeping Ridley, Ayomanor, and **** on the 53. I think Ideally they'd want Ridley and Ayomanor as the two outside guys.
That leaves Lockett, Van Jefferson, Restrepo, and Bryce Oliver really as the main competition for the final 3 spots. Think camp reports are that Van Jefferson looks firmly ahead of Ayomanor and **** for the other outside WR job opposite Ridley right now. I think ideally what the Titans would have liked is for Ayomanor and **** to have beaten out Jefferson, and then cut Jefferson. But as of now that isn't the case. And given Restrepo is exclusively a slot guy, that doesn't help his odds of making the roster... And given Lockett was signed post draft and for $4M (vs Jeffersons $1.6M) almost fully guaranteed, it'd be pretty surprising for him not to make the roster, especially given it seems the idea was to give Cam a vet trustworthy slot guy. So It seems very likely as of now that both Lockett and Van Jefferson will make the roster.
Which means its down to Restrepo and Bryce Oliver for the 6th spot. And most signs indicate that Oliver is their "ST ace" out of the WRs. The Titans view him similar to Westbrook-Ikhine from last season.
Yea the top 5 WRs are pretty much locks to make the roster and Oliver is ahead of Strep for that 6th spot. I'm hoping he does enough during camp/preseason to force the coaches to make a tough decision and keep 7 receivers. If not then worst case scenario I hope he's at least on the practice squad.Restrepo making the initial 53 may come down to ST impact or just them keeping 7 WRs on the roster, which would be unusual. Fortunately for Burks, he received $11,705,101 pre-tax dollars over 3 seasons. He should be alright. That's tough for burke.. cold game.. that's why I never fault players for trying to get there.. making an effort for QB pass and you get cut as reward..
Not the Titans, Ward did, never doubt that bond with X. The things you would do for your brother.****- the Titans like X so much they injured one of their own players to make room.
I don't think they are letting him leave regardless. He'll be at worst on PS, but that could be risky as depending how he performs in the Preseason games (and especially if he does well with some PR reps) he could possibly make another teams 53. And Restrepo would be dumb to turn down a shot at another teams 53 to be on Titans PS, regardless how good his connection with Cam is... And if you just think past just this season I think they only view Lockett and Jefferson as 1 yr guys, so they could view Restrepo as a potential starting slot next year for sure. Like I think ideally Titans would love it if Ayomanor and **** were the 2-3 outside guys and Restrepo became the primary slot (with **** also rotating in there for different looks/skillset).Yea the top 5 WRs are pretty much locks to make the roster and Oliver is ahead of Strep for that 6th spot. Well with Cam, Restrepo, and James Williams, I'm paying a little attention. Will probably watch some/most of their games this year. Raiders, Lions, and Titans maybe this year for me.JFC dude. Are you the Titan’s beat writer? How the F do you know that much about the Titans WR depth?

Him making an impact at PR would surprise me considering he was really just a sure hands guy at PR for us. But yea, hopefully he balls out and hangs around.I don't think they are letting him leave regardless. At this point I think Restrepo is most likely to be on the 53 as 7th WR. I don't think they'd go that route TOO long though. Maybe just first few weeks to "protect" him on their roster then drop him down to PS when it's a little safer/less risky you'll lose him. But They can only protect 4 guys a week on PS... How he does in preseason will be big, especially if he gets PR chances...
