Just was looking for some other views, freaking Sun Sentinel’s Hyde’s ending comment is “if things don’t change quickly it could get ugly”. It’s already hideous. We were 7-6 last year and that was considered a disaster. We’ll be lucky to match that record. I’m just ****ed and have no faith in this staff...

Navarro of the Athletic asked if Manny was in over his head. The simple answer is yes. He looked completely shell shocked. He has no answers. If you think it’s bad now, just wait until February when we get to see the signing class of this season. We set ourselves back 2 years for every 1 that Manny and this circus is here. Book it

Two years under Richt was the best thing Miami football has had in 15 years.
We should have hired another high profile HC, with the highest profile staff possible. Look at how serious recruits took us again, I know we werent getting the cream, but we were pulling away from the Corstal. Instead we went back to the bargain bin because Diaz & James are fishing buddies.

We went back to the bin because James and Jenn Strawley don't know diddly squat about football. I'm quite sure they didn't have a succession plan, or a list of candidates.

Wasnt there any oversight? You'd think someone would step in and have a say on such a big hire so quickly.

The BOT lets the athletic department run itself, provided nothing sketchy is going on. When you have competent people, that's exactly what you want, but when you have an idiot and someone who belongs running only the non-revenue sports involved, that's a bad management model.

The Miami ADs also let the HC have full autonomy in Assistants, another mistake if youre asking me. We almost need an NFL style GM as the Football AD. Someone that vets assistants pedigree, throws out unqualified buddies & sons.

The best thing Flake James and this coaching staph can do is return their paychecks, not accept any pay till they right this ship. Until then, they are running a scam.

I genuinely didn't think it could get worse than Richt. And yet here we are. Local media is ******* oblivious like always

I genuinely didn't think it could get worse than Coker. And yet here we are.

-circa 2011

I genuinely didn't think it could get worse than Shannon. And yet here we are.

-circa 2015

I genuinely didn't think it could get worse than Golden. And yet here we are.

-circa 2018

And the beat goes on.

whats makes anyone think that any "high profile HC" would even want or consider coming to Miami at this point ?

You know that coach up at UF? He wanted the job badly. Mike Leach is pretty high profile and would give his left nut to coach Miami. Cristobal would have left Oregon for his alma mater. Butch would coach the team for free. Heupel is pretty good and i bet he'd have left UCF. Lane Kiffin is 3-0 at FAU now, you don't think he'd have packed his bags for another shot? Those are just the head coaches. I havent started on the high profile assistant coaches who would leap for the job.

You are mistaking Blake James not doing a real coaching search and choosing Diaz after 30 min for lack of interest. There is plenty of interest.
