Grateful that DK can make up the yards for us... But **** what the **** has happened to our running game??

We opened the season with some spectacular runs and signs of potential w our trio of blue chip RB’s. If we had continued that kind of performance— DK would be putting up 400yd passing games regularly.

Yes the OL has been ...

But the OL also did a fantastic job holding the pocket for DK at NCState.

So why are they unable to open running lanes??

How many times are we gonna try a run up
The middle for no gain? Week after week that’s his main running call.

Is it a OL talent issue or a coaching issue?

My concern is that Lashlee is a one-dimensional coach— he only knows how to game plan for his QB to pass or tuck/run.

If that’s the extent of your offensive planning then teams are going to pin their ears back and have zero worries about the rest of your running game.

We are weak on the interior OL. Our C gets pushed back at least a yard into the backfield on every unsuccessful run. I'm not sure if he is unable to snap the ball shotgun style and fire off at the same time or he is taught to snap and catch the NT/DT. Either way, it needs to be fixed. Maybe Feeley can help with that. Our OL has been getting worked the last few years so maybe Justice can turn it around. Can also argue we are soft and that run game is all about attitude. Are we soft???

Go Canes!

We are playing decent defenses now that aren’t fooled by inside zones and don’t just let Harris bounce it outside for 80 yds

Jakai and Scaife aren’t very good is your answer. Also we basically run nothing but inside zone and it’s right up their *** so if they’re not paving the way it’s not going anywhere. Alabama can do it because they will road grade the DL and it doesn’t matter. Miami has to fabricate our run game and get creative.

We haven’t done that yet

no depth. i mean 2 true freshman are carrying the team. not saying they arent good backs but if they get knicked up then what ??? burns was a wasted scholly from the rip

Mentioned this before but we had some early success on inside zone and Lashlee schemed up some run fit mistakes against bad defenses. We are just covering people up and not getting any movement. We have had 0 success with any other schemes and it has caught up to us.
