Fashion is fickle, fast changing and subjective. Most of us are 30-50 something professionals. Key is what do the trends show and what do teens like. My teen girls wear both Nike and Adidas, but refuse to let me buy them Under Armour (what I prefer bc of Baltimore). Teen boys around here seem to greatly prefer Nike and Jordan, but it doesn't seem like Adidas is lame and dorky.I'm the exact opposite, I can't stand Nike. I've never liked it, but to each their own.
Our alumni base may only be 200K, but our brand reach and fanbase is much higher than 200K. It’s why we got the original Nike deal to begin with.I hear you, but any company with
Of course they prefer IU to win, for 800k reasons compared to our 200k. Any brand is going with the bigger numbers here.
It's a win with both teams in but most people / the casual viewer doesn't give a crap or remember what a team was wearing during, after, or years down the road.

Go with whomever pays the most and pushes the brand.
Agreed with all this. That's what I meant by "building the brand". Definitely don't think the school should make a decision based on what my two teenagers wear , lol. Though one might be at UM in the fall ....It’s not just fashion, it’s apparel, performance, & NIL. Like we have to stop these rhetorics. Trying to compare what ur kids wear or the avg youth (although Nike is more popular by a landslide according to the latest Gen Z poll) is not the issue. The issue is Nike is now beginning to dominate the NIL circuit b/c it’s their mission to go back to sports, first.
We’re choking off who we can & can’t get. Adidas doesn’t have the same criteria for the NIL athletes, neither does UA or NB, Nike does. So u’re limiting player acquisition in this new field of recruiting, & I’m not explicitly talking about CFB; I’m talking about CBB, & Baseball now.
This one off CFB Nat’l Championship game for the Adidas brand doesn’t negate that all the top Nike NIL athletes either via HS or the Portal have gone to only Nike schools. Meanwhile two top Adidas NIL athletes are at Nike schools. This is what I’m referring to, only.

your family goes to good schools! Doing something right. Nice work.Man, I love to hear that. I just disowned one of my little cousins; they chose UVA over Miami b/c they wanted to be closer to their girlfriend who attends Virginia St. I told him in no exact words that the fact he chose a pebble over the beach makes me ? everything his dad taught him about life.
So now I have a little cousin at UNC & soon UVA & I’ve deemed them “The Opps.” Although, the one who attends UNC did it to spite his big brothers who’s a Duke alum. Lol.
Congratulations, partner.
Brother; they signed him to a NIL deal & r pushing his on their site for Adidas US Football.
The dropping of a cheap shirt is just them. Lol. Remember when Miami & FAU made the Final 4, both schools were given generic, white sweat suits and random, non branded Adidas shoes that could literally be found at Burlington.
But yes, especially w him being a presumptive #1 pick & at bare minimum a top 5 pick, yes they r all in on him. He’s good for biz.
****. Burlington no longer the Coat Factory and starts catching strays.
