Wrinkles out of the bye

And OJ missed 4 INT opportunities.
Bell also- one hand touched it and bell fell down
Bell break up and the ball was in his lap
TE target and he dropped it
Can’t remember the fourth but I know there was another.

The UL guys made some unreal catches.
Marion - that was a good catch for a WR let alone DB. Marion did an OK job playing DB on the under throw.
Toney- that was a good catch for a WR and what LB makes that catch 50 yards down field? PI on DB tackling Toney?
27’s catch was the only one that should be expected
Lofton - another catch you don’t expect a LB to make. Tipped pass?

Beck and the OL played like they have been chasing *** for 2 weeks vs in the film room.

It's crazy how terrible we look after bye weeks. And this was going on pre-Wario.

Outside of the fake pitch to the RB play action pass and the jet sweep to Toney was there anything else added to the game plan?

We ran off tackle 1x (got called back on a hold on Fletcher) which actually was a decent play. No idea why it’s not a regular staple in the running attack.

Same shït over and over. Not surprised coming out of the bye but shows this is the high point for Dawson. Unless he has the #1 pick at QB and some very good weapons at WR and TE he’s not scheming any easy wins for the offense. All he’s doing is wasting an elite OL and a very good RB room.
Saw the same thing with TVD. Yes, TVD had his own challenges. But Dawson did nothing to help him out when he was playing hurt.

I said it last year: how many times did Cam Audible to a different play?

2 games in a row we played against OCs who came out with a scripted scheme and moved the ball well keeping our defense off balance. I’d like someone to ask Dawson if they actually look at the opponents film and draw up some plays to go against their tendencies. I’m not talking about hey we’re gonna throw the ball deep because they have 7 in the box. I’m talking about blocking schemes and run plays away from leverage or play action passing on first down to someone other than Daniels (he is the first down pass catcher apparently). I’ve never seen so much talent on offense go to waste with such a limited play sheet.

With all due respect, I said this earlier in the season when people were trying to call them elite—they hadn't reached that yet. They've struggled at times when elite O-lines should be dominating, and I needed to see at least a half season of them play. But just for the record, an elite O-line is disciplined and doesn't take penalties (particularly stupid ones) that stop drives. Also, elite O-lines can muster quite a bit more than 63 yards in your rushing game against anybody.

We ran the ball 7x in the first half. 4 of those runs were short yardage inside the 10 against a stacked defense. The other 3 were on 1st down out of the same set were always in against 7 man fronts.

We had 1 motion penalty. The UC on 61 was absolute BS considering the official turned a blind eye the very next play when their player punched Daniels in the face long after the whistle. Go back and watch the UC and see how fast that flag came out. Flag was out before the Louisville player hit the ground.

I don’t care how good the OL is. They are being set up to fail with the lack of scheme.

Very disappointed with the offensive gameplan. The last 3 games out of the bye we've been awesome avg 40 and 400+. It's almost like Dawson thought we could just push them around.

Dawson more so than Beck. Beck forced the long ball to Toney. Marion ran a weak double move. Beck was hit for 3rd INT. Ball was tipped on 4th.

Toney was clearly interfered with in the first INT. The second was in Beck's ball placement. If you don't like the route, don't throw it and definitely don't throw it to his inside shoulder. 3rd pick he panicked. 4th was just an incredible play. All that being said, Beck played like **** and Dawson had a lot to do with it.

Had Marion actually run a good stop and go, the throw is perfect and the CB isn’t near him. Instead, he hardly stops and just hopes that Becks pump fake will work. Personally, I think he shouldn’t have thrown it to Marion. CJ was open for a 1st. Same issue with throwing to Toney.

4th and 4, guy in Becks face with arms up. Not sure I would call that panicked as he had no where to go and taking a sack is worse.

And after those two drives they scored 10 pts with over a half being without Mesidor. 3pts could be on Lightfoot being at DE and UL running for 34yards on two plays. Overall, our D did its part. It is sad to see almost half of our yards were by Toney. That screams we have a problem.

UL knew what we were going to do and stopped it. We had no variety to throw them off and create an advantage.
Agreed. D didn’t have its best game but they still hunkered down and got their **** together for most of the game after the first quarter.

I do not care how good your OL is, if the defense knows what you’re going to do then it’s nearly impossible to win that battle. Louisville crashed the box and Miami continued to be stubborn and didn’t adjust. You can’t run between the tackles every play. That puts your offense in a major disadvantage! This offense is predictable, un creative, and frustrating. No excuse for this offense to be this bad when you’re this talented. Dawson is turning Beck into TVD and our run game a joke.

I said it elsewhere. The only ones that seem to have bought into the hype are the coaches who think they don’t need to evolve in season.

Beck locked in on Marion. That's the problem. That's on Beck.
Beck always panics with pressure. That's his MO

Our oline sucked — hands down. Couldn’t protect, couldn’t open any lanes, false starts and holds all night. They really sucked last night

Dline — got bullied and did Bain even play

Defense — worse tackling game of year. Outside of the fumble the D tackled like ****. 8 played his worse game for us. 0 played a bad game. Corners were absolutely abysmal. You’re whiffed all night. We looked lost slow and bad angles

Coaching — I was shocked we play so well out of the bye against FSU. Mario rarely has teams ready to play out of a bye

This game was more coaching. U can talk about the INTs all you want, but:
INT 1 — AMAZING play by D
INT 2 — bad ball
INT 3 — he had to release the ball. It’s 4th down do you take the sack as your G got whooped
INT 4 — didn’t see it. But heard it was tipped

Big time players make big time plays. Our bit time players, outside of Toney, did nothing last night. The OL and the penalties killed any kind of momentum and drives. D looked lost

We got outcoached too

Always? Dude is 29-4 as a starter. I’m not sure he always panics. Now he clearly can improve on reading defenses or he will never play on Sundays. The NFL forces QBs to hit the check down a ton. He did much better in the second half.

Had that last pass been complete to Lofton, he runs for 20 min and we are looking at a potential TD or easy FG. Instead the dl tipped it. That isn’t Beck chocking. He was driving the team for the win.

I’m not a fan of our run game. I want more jets and outside zones. Toney runs for 90 on that jet…well maybe 60-70 since “we don’t have speed”. Had we been able to run the ball more effectively, Beck isn’t left throwing on 4th and 4 as just one example.
