WR Vance Spafford commits to Miami

did u just say worthy is justy a little faster than this kid. mannnnnn...i love the take but gahdamnnnnnnn pump those breaks.

Kid can run no doubt.
Let me add some perspective. I played DT when I was significantly younger. I ran a 5.2 forty time. I probably would run a 6+ second 40 today. Just being honest. That said, Spafford is clocked at 4.35 and I saw Worthy ran a 4.21 at the combine (I cheated and googled it - sue me). So while I recognize that 4.21 is more than "a tad" faster than 4.35, when held against my fat *** running a 5.2 when I was younger, what's the difference? Both those guys were either going to get laid the F out if I hit them squarely or they were going for six.

Simpler breakdown: 4.35 is pretty elite. 4.21 is insane. 5.2 is pretty lame.

He has the speed, he lacks elusiveness. Doesn’t make the wow plays after the catch as much as other guys. Does everything else really well though.
Agreed i will say he runs routes well but that’s exactly what it is. For a 10.6/4.3 guy I’d like to see a lil more juice after the catch.

Yeah he really doesn’t make more than one guy mix. . He is a straight line guy that try’s to power through when he gets corralled. Berrios and Restrepo were similar in that regard, but Spafford projects as much better on the outside. I think he can play z at this level. Saw lots of plays with him as an x in his highlights. He may be the best of our run of white receivers. Getting him and Lopez in the same class isn’t something you see often.

He’s the same size as the kid we just had play Z here, and he’s WAY faster. Like much, much faster.

That kid had 1600 yards and 16 TDs the last 2 seasons and was never the #1 option in the passing game.
