WR Vance Spafford commits to Miami

Just about everyone on CIS feel they know every situation and feel they are well-informed.

Some are, and some aren't.

You can easily figure out who isn't well-informed, because they will tell you "Beard will be fired for his bad recruiting", or "Beard will be retained for his good coaching and development".

Saw Vance in person last season when they played my lil homie’s team in the playoffs. MV took their 1st L on the season, but it wasn’t b/c of Vance.

I didn’t know who bro was, & even though I was supposed to be biased, I got out my seat when he snagged a 43 yarder. He balled that game; didn’t have a TD, but he put 100+ on 9 receptions.

I like this pick up, fr fr. The key will be to hold on to him, & I mean that w all sincerity. So. Cal kids r becoming increasingly disloyal & r bag chasers. Now w my youngin entering his Jr year at a Nat’l power, the convos I hear I’m like WTF? I’m not used to it, honestly, but tis the age we’re in.

Have a great season & we should hold on, but SC, UW, & UO won’t stop recruiting him, hard. (Pause)

Whats crazy is if we land JROC Lopez. Those 2 in the same class is unfair as guys that are just crazy route runners with proficiency for getting open. (ij ust watched spofford film)
I saw JROC last year live the same way you did and was impressed. Didnt realize i was standing next to his pops n uncles till midway through n im talking about a cb (our current commit) locking sh*t up having a good game...and pops is like "We got something for his *** to if they leave him one on one" when jroc made a catch on him. lol

Im sure UW and them will continue on him. But him committing to uga in the first place shows he was getting out of the west coast. Just have to continue fulfill our portion of the deal n recruit him straight through which i believe we will.

He seems to be inline with a high target guy in this offense. (Dawson)

Yeah I almost said the exact same thing. It's the same tears we spilled for 2 decades. The kids only go elsewhere because they're getting paid, wahhhhh. No ******* **** LOL.

Now, you can live in a condo in Brickell and have a couple hundred grand in your pocket, drive a dope car, get a really good education (if you want to, that part's still optional), head to the beach and whip a Jetski around, have dinner on a yacht with a couple OF girls, and be coached by legitimate coaches who absolutely can develop you as men and football players....or you can go push your way through a smelly college bar while your feet stick to the floor with that unique vomit and Red Bull mixture that is essentially flowing through the air in those places.

Hmm. Tough one.

UGA still pays a **** load of money and they've got a good program. They'll still get a ton of really good kids. But this complete bull**** delusion that kids go there because they want to and only go to other schools because of money is very Miami circa when we were broke as ****. You still got bread. Be better.
man's just described Braxton Berrios's life

I know it seems odd and many here will tell you a load of bull****, but when I like something I tend to state that. I like this pickup.
I know, I'm messing. But I think people are down on Spafford because they fell in love with the idea of Keys and Russell and thought Spaff was plan b. Not the case. He was always a take regardless of the other whales.

The Canes landed one of the fastest, most productive receivers in America with the commitment of WR Vance Spafford. The 5'11, 175-pound Mission Viejo, California native flipped his commitment from Georgia.

Spafford is the #9 WR in America according to the 247 Composite and a Top 75 player nationally. He made 57 catches for 1,017 yards and 14 touchdowns last season after a monster sophomore year where he put up 1,576 yards and 22 touchdowns.

A legitimate speedster with a 10.69 100M, Spafford ran a 4.35 forty laser and won the fastest man competition at the Future50 national showcase.

Spafford joined the Canes despite missing last week's scheduled official visit with an illness. He visited unofficially in the summer.

Huge get right here, now land that kid that decommitted from Tennessee and Lopez and that’s a very good wide receiver class. It’s not great, and you’ll have to get one of the two blue chip outside kids to make it great and we’ll see if beard can make that happen. I’m hoping he does.

He went from being talked about as one of the WRs in the class to potentially being the ceiling of the class. He is a good player in his own right, but people are still thinking we can land a Keys level player.
