Sent a message to who? The other walk-ons. Did he cut another KIDD on scholarship at WR to make this point? We have way too many players at certain positions and not enough at others.

You realize we have SANCTIONS?

I get it but we're minus 9 ships and we have 11 WRs for 2014 (without Gray).

Walk-ons are actually important to the team. Sometime you just need bodies and at a private U with high tuition they do not come around as easy as at taxpayer funded state schools. It is certainly worth it to have a positive object lesson for others. Sometimes that walk-on leads way to NC and Miami HOF -- Mr. Albert Bentley

With Spread Offenses or at least spread offenses packages everywhere you need a lot of WRs and DBs now. You don't have the need for multiply FBs or run stuffing ILBs.

Btw this time next Njoku will be a TE and Kidd will go back to a walkon if Miami needs a scholarship.
 
Wait, so we aren't getting Ridley, Burgess-Becker, Phillips, Durante, or Peete?

It's not minus 9 scholarships this year, or next year. It's 9 schollies over 3 years, and Miami can split them up however they want. They can recruit who they want to fill the class, and then decide to take the hit based on how things pan out. So ****ing and moaning about how "11 is too many with sanctions" is inherently crap unless you personally know when and how we will take the hit during the next 3 years.

Not to mention if you go through the roster of the rest of the ACC teams, and I would bet SEC, B1G, etc, you'll see at LEAST 10 WRs on each one. Sure, most of them aren't on scholarship, but 11 WRs on scholarship is closer to the AVERAGE for pro style/spread teams than it is too many.

We will get Peete.. Ridley isn't done yet I think he flips to us. SBB and Phillips gone.

SBB and Ridley very tight. Hard for me to see SBB leaving the state. Family pressure to stay and he's like brothers with Calvin and Cavin. I know I've heard Calvin is very stuck in the middle, wants to stay home but wants to play with his boy too. Think ultimately will end up being what Cavin wants to do, his brother. Could be enough pull to get SBB. Bama selling SBB on safety. SBB wants to try playing receiver, we can do that.

Were in the hunt for them. But it's going to go all the way to signing day. A good season, can pull us ahead. They were very close to coming here. Reminds me of Cole situation. Sometimes some kids just get so caught up in the hype at the moment.
