Think our class is in a great place. Getting to elite territory to me means we get one of:
  • WR Keys or Russell
  • DT Brown or Johnson
  • RB Cooper or Lamar
  • TE Turner or Kent
  • S Stewart or Jackson or Redding (tbh want 2 here)
Obviously some other important targets beyond this (Kolojay, Evans today, a couple of the DEs) but need the above to feel great at every position and lock in a top 5-7 class.

I don't think we get kent, keys, lamar, stewart or brown. doubtful on Russell, unless something miraculous happens.

I think I agree with all of those. If that means we get Johnson, Cooper, Turner, Jackson, and Redding I'm pumped with that. Missing on both Keys/Russell will sting but with the Spafford add I feel a little less desperate at WR than I did a week ago.

You said no keys, no Johnson, but brown and cooper… maybe not you directly, but others can answer this. Is Brown and Cooper enough to catapult us into a top 3 class or break that 300 point mark?

Using 2025 class rankings as a proxy.

This is assuming we keep who we have and add the following:

Evans, Lopez, Wilson = 260 points. #14 class in 2025

Adding Kolojay and Cooper = 272 points, #10 (I should note Cooper alone puts us at #10 here). Adding Johnson and Cooper and no one else to our current class also puts us here.

I feel most confident about those 5 right now and a top 10 class seems to be the floor barring a catastrophe.

From there, adding James Johnson would put us at #7 (278), Lamar Brown #6 (281), and if we got both it would be good enough for #4 (287 points)

This does not include Keys, Russell, Redding, Stewart, Perry-Wright, Kent, Turner, Jennings, etc.
