Would you take Richt over any coach in the top 10?

Top 10? Realistically, I'm not sure if there is an active D1 head coach that could have figured out how to drop 5 games (maybe 6) with this roster and this horrible schedule. Richt is the most overpaid HC in CFB.

It also have to do with CMR. I have no problem with him being the head coach, I just don’t want him as OC and I don’t want his son as the QB coach either. I’m afraid Searels will leave and he will be the scapegoat and the excuse to not make the other necessary changes. Some of the problems that we had with the OL could had been hidden with proper playcallig.

As far as expectations, I was only expecting a slight improvement over last year, another coastal and maybe shortening the gap between Clemson as us. I was not expecting the massive regression and wasted opportunity we had this year on the part of the offense. I was not expecting another year of subpar offense production and QB coaching, recruiting and performance. I feel this has been the source of frustration for the majority of the comments which could be solve if we hire a proven OC/QB coach that could also recruit. If is true that the BOT is willing to spend the money to hire such a person, the only thing in the way is for Richt to demote or fire his son and that remains to be seen.
 
Let’s bring in a coach with a great eye for future NFL head coaches to be assistants. He should also be great a player development which still sucks. Oh, might want him to be a special skill at recruiting players who can and will uphold the old Cane legacy. Hum, is there someone out there like that?

How about **** No! What make this even a legit question? There are more than 40 HCs better than Richt.
 
I would rather have Jerry Sandusky right now instead of Rick.

You never know....we thought the same about Richt after firing Al Golden

I haven't gone back to look, but it is hard to believe that Golden ever coached against a schedule as bad as this year's. We had among the best defenses in CFB, played exactly 1 team that finished in the top 25, and lost 5 games (so far). 2018 was WOAT coaching.
