I ask this because I firmly believe in the next two weeks Brad Kayaa will only get better. If golden loses to nebraska w/ryan he wouldn't get back on the plane if I was the AD.

No. U chose the freshman qb u stick w him. U can't kill his confidence

Kaaya might have some success on Saturday but he's far from ready. If Williams is available I think you go with him. Hard to believe we'd win a lot of games with Kaaya.

That ship has sailed. You start Kayaa all year long because we weren't expected to win a national title anyway. Next year we will have a very experienced QB.

If you start Heaps, Williams, whoever.....we still go 8-4 at best and we get to suffer through an inexperienced Kayaa NEXT year. No thanks. Get that sht out of the way now.

They're gonna get killed no matter who starts. This is miami now.

We're not going to win a bunch either way. Not enough to make a difference. Give me an experienced QB in 2015.

I think AG dug his own grave naming Kaaya the starter. He now needs to stick with him. Benching him in favor of Williams or anyone else would destroy the kids confidence and only set us back further.

i don't think it would kill his confidence because he didn't beat out williams. the only reason kaaya and heaps were even an option is because ryan got hurt. now if heaps takes his spot then it's a different story.

You stick with Kaaya at this point. Our fan base has created this myth that Ryan Williams is somehow a difference maker. Dude could not beat out snickers, think about that.

Of ******* course. The season is shot already. Ride with Kaaya. Williams, Olsen, and Heaps are clearly not in the picture after this year. It's Kaaya or Rossier for now.

Id like to see coley get a wake up call with all the venom he's taken this week. 9-20 better look Diff than 9-1

If Williams is ready whenever hes ready he's starting. Golden has too win as many as possible he's not worried about the future bcuz theres a good chance he wont be part of it.

I agree that if you chose Brad you should ride with him the whole year, however I will say this.....I think the team is losing confidence in the coaching staff. The older players seem down and out and the underclassman really don't know what to do.

If there is one guy that the team has respect for it's Ryan Williams. You can tell from all the receivers, line, and even running-backs. They feel confident with him at the helm. Everyone saw Dorsett complaining to Ryan late in the game Monday night about how Kaaya had missed him wide open. And while I believe Ryan doesn't have the best physical tools....it's apparent that he understands the offense like the back of his hand and I'm sure Coley wouldn't hesitate to call every play in the book with him under center.

This situation depends on how Brad does in these next two weeks. Assuming Williams is healthy by the Nebraska game.....Golden is going to have a very tough decision to make. Does he stick with his initial pick or does he listen to the players and throw Williams into the game. Either way we're f***** in that game @Nebraska with Golden as our coach. Doesn't matter who the QB is...result will be the same...with just a different scoreline.

If golden was planning to start Williams whenever he became available then he should have simply started heaps especially with the play calling the way it was against UL. It's become obvious the qb decision wasn't about who gave the team the best chance to win.

As with everything else on this team, golden mishandled the qb situation.

everyone was pulling for kaaya and now want ryan? lol this fanbase...

want all the success with a true freshman qb but none of the struggle

Im not sure I agree with all this "the season is over" bullsh*t.

The season is not over. The Coastal is not some "murderers row", and still very winnable for us if we can get some offense going.

Am honestly not sure what to do with Williams. I mean if he comes back and is ready to go, and if he's looking the best as a QB in practice, how do you NOT play him? I understand Kaaya is the future, and Kaaya NEEDS to keep playing and getting reps, but does he need to be the starter for the whole season to do that?

Dorsey had to play a bunch when KK got hurt in 99, but KK still played once he was better, granted KK was not a graduating senior.

I think you can have RW play, and let Kaaya still get reps in to prepare him.

Putting the whole season in Kaaya's hands is a giant gamble. With Kaaya we really do run the risk of a 5-7/6-6 type year. Not his fault, but he's a TRUE Frosh, and Coley has shown he is terrified in playcalling with Kaaya, and not very creative or imaginative as an OC or playcaller. And that's putting it mildly. If RW will allow Coley to open up the playbook more and give him more confidence, then we need to play to WIN games. You cant just **** away the whole season already, because we lost 1 game. Now, if we have lost 4-5 games, then maybe it doesn't matter. But if RW is ready to go, AND he's playing better and more prepared, then you go with him. AS LONG as Kaaya keeps getting reps, his confidence wont suffer. Its not like he's being benched for his 2nd string. RW was supposed to be the penciled in starter before he was injured. Its also not like Kaaya is lighting it up. This is a learning year for him. The key is to get him valuable experience and let him keep developing, growing, learning, understanding the schemes, plays, etc. He doesn't need to start every game and get hammered into the ground behind this OL just to be ready for next season.

Dorsey had a few games and some reps in 99, and still came in looking pretty **** good in 2000, except for 1 half against UW.
