Would you be ok with these changes?

First of all, I agree with your point. I don’t believe CMR is the answer but there have been others. Bobby Bowden, for one, didn’t win his first title until 18th season at FSU and this followed several years at West Va. Vince Dooley at UGA was another but it took getting Herschel Walker to put him over the top. So it can happen, but I don’t think likely here.

That isn’t what I was asking. Neither Bowden nor Dooley fit the criteria.

Last time we searched for a coach we were down to the following;

Mullen’s- just got whooped by UGa and no one knows if he is a good coach or not.
Schiano- sucks, sucks, sucks
Mark Richt- Safe, great recruiter, bad choices in personnel

So what will we get now?

Whittingham- no experience in the South Florida market
Lane Kiffin- like a stock, expect ups and downs, great recruiter, excellent play caller, but Miami may not have the stomach
Butch Davis- old legend, with out of date ideas, ( like Mark Richt)
Chris Petersen- ???

People, it’s tough to get a head coach for Miami, let’s get an OC with creativity that understands the talent in Miami.

Theres only three available coaches huh?

Jesus you people really must have IQs below 80.

And stop with this “hes not a Miami fit” **** before it starts again. Most meaningless dumb made up fake news idea ever.

I can't help but think this pressure is going to force Richt's hand to make some changes. Emotions aside, would you all be ok with bringing in a new OC, QB coach, o-line coach, and st coach?

Or is there no winning solution outside firing Richt (not happening)?

Why would anyone oppose a new OC, QB, OL and ST coach? Even with a new head coach that much is a given. Clearly those positions need and upgrade.

Bc PMR choose the current guys at those coaching positions.

So he’s going to get it right a second time?

I think this is silly. You guys think like a pro sports owner which is if I don't like the results I'm getting, I'll fire everyone with the expectation that the next set of coaches will give me a championship.

I just LMAO that people think there is a bevy of championship head coaches and assistants just sitting around waiting for a phone call. Making a regime change means you're throwing away 3 years and hope you wind up better than the guy you fired.

If you look at it rationally, what you see is a lot of coaches that get paid a lot of money while the administration and fans expect a championship because they paid so much money. So, it just winds up being a revolving door of coaching staffs with the same expectations with each new hire. Wash, rinse, repeat. Some coaches that were paid a lot of money and failed to deliver a a championship caliber program: are Willie Taggert (verdict still out, but it's not looking good even in year 1), Jim McElwain, Butch Jones, Kevin Sumlin, Charlie Strong, etc.

We are in year 3 of Richt
I think most would say they are happy with the 1st 2 years. Because of last year's success, expectations were raised for this year. Looking at last year, it could have been an 12-1 team or an 8-5 team. As much as we want it now, I think it's going to take 2-3 more years to get to championship level because we don't have an offensive line of that caliber. I think our 2017 and 2018 line can develop to championship level.

The biggest thing I'd like to see is a new OC with some creativity. Maybe Searles needs to go, but IDK if its him or just that we are at the tail end of the Golden era with our line. Better play calling would help the blocking.

I don’t give a **** what you said & I don’t want to read how Miami can’t do it bc it’s a lie. This school has raised a billion dollars...TWICE....you read that right...TWICE. Foh with they can’t afford it...they have the financial capacity to do whatever they want.

Richt must go...anything outside of that is an exercise in stupidity....period.

Miami football is dead with him at the helm. Keep thinking an OC is going to save a man who outright lies about our ****** punter.

Then don't read my fcking posts. Nobody's making you listen to me or argue, so go do something else if I'm bothering you.

It doesn't matter if Miami has $14 billion if they don't want to spend it on football. And I know this will hurt your ego, but yelling about football on the internet isn't going to change minds at the school or loosen the purse strings. Whatever you think of Miami's finances is irrelevant. The only thing that matters is what the BOT is able and willing to do.

Everything ok at home?

Searles and Richt Jr. need to go

the OC title needs to be taken away from Thomas Brown and if he wants to leave, let him. Use a portion of his salary to hire a top notch OC

Rumph might also need to go too. Especially if we don't land a top CB recruit
