or explain how Pitt held VT to 26 yards rushing i.e. alignments, blitzes, scheme, etc... in order to see if UM shows up with a completely different philiosophy or tries to mimic the strategy or elements of it. I just dont have the time to do it, but screenshots would be interesting. TIA

For some reason, they allowed their defense to attack the line of scrimmage and make plays in the backfield, amateurs.

"We didn't execute"

I fully expect VT's fourth string RB to tear us up for 150+ as our safeties are making tackles 7-8 yards downfield.

"We finally got them in that 3rd and 12 early in the third quarter, right where we wanted them to be, and just didn't execute. Big turning point right there. We make that stop we're only down 9 at that point, we score and we cut it to 2. It starts with me."

Our Defense was on the field for too long. Their offensive scheme had a little wrinkle this week.

"Well Susan we thought we could get to the QB if we rushed two guys on that third and 33. We just didn't execute and they did.

Obviously we aren't in that position if Duke runs for 210 yards instead of 200. But I'll get it fixed. "

Pitt has been recruiting top 5 classes consistently on defense the last few years. Them and Virginia both. We just don't have the talent yet guys.

They showed stuff they haven't done all year. We looked at their film from last week and prepared for a team that had 26 yards rushing and 265 yards passing. Obviously, we are going to set up to stop the pass first. Well, they sold out to the run and got us for 250 yards. They just played a heck of a game. So did our kids, we just didn't expect that kind of running attack.

"Tracy didn't tacke well, Chad and McCord didn't cover the receivers well enough and Denzel didn't make the correct reads or react fast enough to keep the ball carrier from gaining 7 yards a pop, instead of 5."
