Would it be unmoderator(ly) of me to call out people

who said we'd have 45K or 50K people there yesterday? Because I just ******* did. Announced crowd, 63,415. 500 less than VPI, and by the time people arrived, about the same in actual attendance. Just as loud, if not louder. So, GTFO (or, get in and apologize).

Nope, not unmoderator(ly) at all. We need to force folks to wear the “L” more often.

I told y'all it's a different era. Today's south Florida group of people going to be there when the team is good!

Yeah I was there, it was the same as VT. But actually the stands high behind the endzones looked more full for this game. It was great for a noon game.

When the Turnover Chain comes out, its more then just a rallying cry for the players...the crowd pops so hard the minute a turnover happens...crowd just comes alive for those big moments. They pop harder for the turnovers then for the touchdowns.

On TV they went off with the pick 6! Can’t imagine how loud it was to actually be there. I had every intention to fly to ND game but didn’t. Might be biggest regret in my life. I’ll be at the Pitt game. Place will probably be dead. Might be more Cane fans there than Pitt fans.

South Florida is feelin’ the Canes and it’s great to see. Sounded loud again and they made a difference.

I've been to plenty of of the big, loud stadiums in CFB...and honestly, the acoustics of the building with the roof make it just as loud as all but very few in college football at their loudest. Its the first true homefield advantage we've had since the glory days in the OB where its acoustics and the declining infrastructure made it seems like the structure would collapse with increasing volume. In the OB, it made it seems scary to be in the middle of it. This...you just can't hear **** and the noise feels so concentrated its uncomfortable.

It was a great turnout for a non-marquee matchup, and at noon to boot. But I was there, and there was not 63,414 other people. Almost the entire Golden Canes section on the home side was empty (as it always seems to be for these types of games) - which is just pathetic on the part of those season ticket holders. And lots of empty seats in the corners, especially northwest endzone. I'm not sure if those golden cane seats always seem to be empty because those people prefer to hang out in the air conditioned club level concourse, or if they just don't show and don't give away their seats to people that want to be there.

The crowd still rocked though.

Golden Canes are big donors, not necessarily big fans, and their section is often empty. Aside from them, IMHO, there were even more fans than for VT. Even the upper deck corners had fans in the them. There wasnt an empty seat in my section.

rolled in about 11:15, didn't tailgate because I am not waking up early, even though that was still early for me.

Frigging crowd is already at championship level equal to the finest day of our beloved OB. We are ready and making a difference on the field three weeks in a row.

The golden canes section is large but barely has any seats that count toward how full it is since each seat is like 5feet wide. That’s not an indicator.

Miami now has a real home field, one with a certain atmosphere and identity. And as long as the Hurricanes are at a certain standard, this will be 'thing' that will be a must-see event.

For years, as someone who lived 3,000 miles away, I would plan on going to Miami away games(places like Nebraska, Ohio St) to see the Canes because quite frankly it's more fun and lively. Not anymore. Now, home games will get priority treatment
