Would it be unmoderator(ly) of me to call out people

who said we'd have 45K or 50K people there yesterday? Because I just ****ing did. Announced crowd, 63,415. 500 less than VPI, and by the time people arrived, about the same in actual attendance. Just as loud, if not louder. So, GTFO (or, get in and apologize).

It was a great turnout for a non-marquee matchup, and at noon to boot. But I was there, and there was not 63,414 other people. Almost the entire Golden Canes section on the home side was empty (as it always seems to be for these types of games) - which is just pathetic on the part of those season ticket holders. And lots of empty seats in the corners, especially northwest endzone. I'm not sure if those golden cane seats always seem to be empty because those people prefer to hang out in the air conditioned club level concourse, or if they just don't show and don't give away their seats to people that want to be there.

The crowd still rocked though.

Good lord man, the golden canes section is just a few hundred seats. That’s just a tiny drop in terms of attendance

I was guessing around 57,000. Didn't look as full as the last two weeks. Pleasantly surprsied since we were playing at noon. It was a late arriving crowd.

No one should be surprised about 60+k people showing for a good Miami team. The OB capacity was much higher and when we had legit title contenders we got 60k. This Rock is an easier sell, attracts the suits, better location, safer, parking....

Guessing before? Because actual attendance was way over 57,000. There were not 8,000 empty seats.

Announced crowd was like 61k+. I was there and the crowd was good (over 55k) but there were large sections of empty seats in the student section and upper endzones.

I'll eat crow though. I never thought they'd get that many people for a noon game. There was probably 57k and I was expecting 47k. So kudos to the people for actually showing up.

Also, if you believe the crowd for Virginia was roughly the same as the crowd for Virginia Tech, you either didn't go to either game or you're straight up lying.

Announced crowd was 63K. I can't believe you think there were 55K. I will now never take anything you say seriously again. Ever.

Looked like more fans were in the upper deck section that was completely empty on one side in the va tech game

I'm trying to upload a photo I took right before kick off but it's not working. I keep getting an upload failed message.

I was impressed. My prediction was 50-55K butts in the seats, but it was clearly more than that. It was definitely late arriving, though - up until one hour before kickoff, the parking lots were still pretty empty. Even a half hour before, when we folded up the tailgate tents and headed up to our seats, not many people were there...it had to have been quite the flood of fans between 11:30-12:30.

Crowd was great......only issue is the optics can be deceiving on TV.

The Big seats section at the 50 while only several hundred very expensive seats is right at the 50 and makes it look emptier on TV as well as the Student section, which they arrived late, but there were a lot of empty seats in that section for the 1st half of that game.

In the upper corners, there were 10+ rows of empty seats against VT......that was not the case Saturday.
