Worse Coach: Wandy Shannon or Alfalfa ?

Randy wasnt ready to be a HC at a Top school... stunted his potential... maybe would never have been ready

Al was a fraud. Period

Al golden is worse than Randy.
Did less or more.
That's not an endorsement of Randy who was also bad.
Both are wierd in their own ways.

Why do people keep talking about golden can we get temporary bans for bringing up this stuff?

Golden was worse as a coach. At least Shannon beat fsu 2x,Clemson before. Golden did leave us with a top 15 roster and a stud qb so I'll give him that. Randy did too though when you break down what he left us with

Blandy beat FSU 2 more times than that Jersey jabroni ever did

Yeah, but the FSU teams Randy beat were the teams that got Bobby Bowden fired. FSU was a dumpster fire when Randy was coaching here.

I'll say this. Randy was a terrible coach, and the talent slipped badly under him. Al Golden recruited better, but had the worst coaching philosophy for the south Florida talent pool. Both coaches were terrible, in different ways.

I'm going with the fat slob who wore a tie. At least Shannon's defense wasnt atrocious.

My last post on Golden, unless its something newsworth.<P>Shannon was family, yeah, he wasn't ready for the job, but it wasn't his fault he was hired, he was what he was. Golden, on the other hand, was simply out of his league, should have been able to do better than he did, stubbornly stuck with things that didnt work, etc. So Shannon over Golden, but mostly because Golden was such a pretender.

It wasn't his fault he was hired? Same can be said of Coker and Golden. NONE of them had a resume worthy of coaching at UM. Donna Shalala leaves and drastic improvements are made. Coincidence? If that troll was still lurking, I bet we hit the bargain bin AGAIN instead of breaking the bank and getting Richt.

Bottom line, we got what we paid for, and it was crap.

Easy, Alf. Alf had a better ceo/PR handle on things. Shannon was the better coach.
