I have no doubts rumors I hope are true are out there but SEEING is BELIEVING.
If I were king......I hire Butch soon as season is over, I know exactly what I'm getting, monster recruiter and developer, he brings KD as OC as Butch is about defense. I keep Manny and let him and Butch work together, I trust Butch to get ST sorted. I am actually under budget from Richt tenure and can afford a top notch staff, it was never about money with Butch. Pretty much anybody else is an unknown IMO as Miami is different than anywhere in the country, case in point, Chris Peterson, great coach that would not fit here. We win ACC in year 2 and play for natty the next, damm near garanteed
...Word is make necessary changes or resign at end of season...
Kool didn’t recruit Miami needs coaches who will recruit and develop guys. He just developed guys and Simpson has done a solid job with the d line so far.Don’t buy that “money isn’t an issue” based off the last coaching search, not retaining Kool.
As much as I agree with that and would love to do that Richt is like tainted meat now. Too much wading through the process for all that to work. Have to get a new coach who brings some staff with him for some cohesion.I would fire everyone except Diaz. New Linebacker, CB, safety and Dline coaches. New special teams coach as well. Hire an OC that is going to light up the scoreboard and recruits will come. Hire coaches that come from big time programs, they know how to drop bags and how it's done.
and he has one of the youngest teams in country AND had to find a grad transfer to play qb.Butch got FIU a top the conference with a 10 game winning streak. BBB.

Who fires every position of a highly productive defense ?I would fire everyone except Diaz. New Linebacker, CB, safety and Dline coaches. New special teams coach as well. Based off KoolAid not staying??....if we had kept him, by now we wouldn't have a D line!! We already short handed there, and KoolAid doesn't recruit!! He did us a solid by removing himself from the picture!!,.. Now if someone can send the MEMO to lil jon, Stacy Sheryl, and whoever is responsible (actually responsible) for the **** show of special teams, and we can begging moving forward again!!Don’t buy that “money isn’t an issue” based off the last coaching search, not retaining Kool.
Yep damm sure do, KD has mad football smarts on offensive sideSo you want a guy who has never called plays to be OC ?
I agree Miami needs to open up their pockets for quality assistants. Can’t have guys who have never coached college football before come to a Power 5 school who was one of the elite schools over a decade ago. They have the money now spend it.Spin it how you like. We let an elite DL coach go and hired a HS coach. I’m glad it’s worked out so far, but the point was that we aren’t spending top dollar for our coaches and that money continues to be an issue.
