Wondering how Canes QB N’Kosi Perry is doing? Coach Jon Richt tells it straight

" Offensive line coach Stacy Searels addressed the media, and said he is still trying to figure out the best five linemen, with several linemen being rotated at different positions. After a scrimmage in which the offensive line apparently was dominated, it might take a while. Rising sophomore guard Navaugn Donaldson was put at right tackle Tuesday and excelled."

"Tyree St. Louis is the first-team left tackle at this point."

"Is Donaldson seriously being considered at tackle? Former LSU lineman George Brown has basically worked the entire spring at right tackle."

“You think we’ll come out here and practice and not be serious about it?’’ Searels said of Donaldson. “If he’s at tackle, it’s serious. It’s serious. It’s based on [the fact that] we want to protect our quarterback. And we are going to put the best five out there to protect our quarterback.”

"Searels also stressed that center Tyler Gauthier did an excellent job at right tackle when coaches put him there to stop the agony."

I think a poster said that Donaldson wanted to be a Tackle in the long run..welp kid..heres your big shot.

I think they have a lot of confidence in Donaldson, but then you have to replace him at Guard. If Boulware comes in and shows he's good enough to start, I'm sure they'll keep Donaldson at Tackle.

Really it's all about finding that 5th starter. That's what killed the OL in the scrimmage. Patchan and Rousseau just abused whoever was at RT

Or maybe Scafie depending on his development.

Lt. St. Louis
Lg. Scaife/too good not to start
C. Gauthier
Rg. Tennessee transfer/hoping as good as advertised
Rt. Donaldson

I can roll with that.

We on the same page, maybe Mahoney takes g spot but Scaife comin.

Mahoney looked terrible last year. Maybe I was just me but there was a significant drop off when he was playing.

Idk why anyone is expecting Boulware to come in a be an immediate starter. He was a backup at Tennessee for 3 yrs and he wasn't sitting behind NFL players. If he contributes awesome but I would put my money on Scaife and Gaynor before him.

He was starting when he left the team.

People around the UT program think a lot of him, he was really good if u ask them. He just loathed the corch.

I think I read that Boulware ended up starting -3-4 games then had the falling out...anyone know if that’s accurate?
