Yeah but would they be a 500 team??? This season without Ward isn’t remotely a good one which tells me that we have a lot of issues being masked right now by a generational qb talent which tells me a lot of **** hasn’t really been fixed.

Dumb. The defense sucks and will need to be almost completely replaced via the portal. We are losing every wide receiver and tight end who have done anything too if Horton declares which he probably should. Not sure what your point is but OPs point is not about cam. It’s about the rest of the team. Including dozens of players who will be eligible and could be back next year who have been bad, regressed or not played this year.

I think we will look back at this year and appreciate CW for kickstarting our run back to relevance.

That said - a couple of the wins we had earlier in year where we Cam comebacks was partially due to Cam in the game too.

A good system qb who knows who he is and takes what defenses give would have us at 6-3 or 7-2 imo.

Next year I could easily see us have a worse qb and a dominant offense with the strength in oline, rbs and tes.

You made a painfully obvious statement. No one was under the impression that Ward is coming back.
 
This is a popular thing to post, but the fact is we don't know and it's cheap speculation. Chances are we wouldn't be undefeated but I also don't believe we'd have 5 losses either.
If we didn't have Cam Ward then we would've had $2 million to play with and could've used it to fix up other holes on our team which would've still made a formidable squad with an improved Emory.
You can't try and change one variable of history and expect every other factor to stay in place.

I didn’t make that point at all you are confused. You unfortunately did not grasp the point. The point is who will be back next year on our team? Most of them suck or are very young that have not proved they can start yet thus they will need to be recruited over via the portal.

I think u’re missing the point.

During the Cal game, we had a thread saying Cam is not elite. We have fans this game blaming Cam.

Cam has his flaws, he’s our 2024 version of Brett Farve, but w/o him, this team is 5-5. Not one Chiefs fan blaming Pat for a L, or saying that he’s not elite. That’s the point, that we’re fortunate that Cam is QB1 here b/c w/o him, we’re 5-5.
