Wish someone could have warned us

I remember PITT made a late run at him and we were sweating out 'losing' him to a rival. Holy **** what a nightmare this is.

Al golden had EVERYONE fooled. I'll never forget a buddy of mine who was the Director of Player Personnel for the 49ers telling me that we fired Larry Coker one year too late. When I asked why he said, "Because we could have hired Al Golden before Temple did."

Golden had the entire football industry convinced that he was the next big time up and coming coach. Its part of the whole Masters in Sports Psychology thing. Golden looks and acts the part like very few others. He does everything the right way.....except coach. He's kind of amazing in this regard when you think about it.

I've said this before. Golden is an intelligent dude. He's well spoken, and he articulates his words in a way to pull on the strings of the heart. He many believers here up to 2013. True colors started to unveil themselves. He still have some believing him...that's why I call him the Jim Jones of college football.

Have you guys heard about this kid, Muhammad Wilkerson? Well Al Golden coached him at Temple! We back!

My God, Whitlock can be an idiot more often than not but boy do I feel beyond sick remembering my reaction at the time to his words of wisdom about the hire. I believe the word used within Dade County to describe this feeling is "crunchy".

When it's all said and done they need to do a 30 for 30 on Al Golden: The Long Con.

He's the ultimate scam artist.

Unless there is a cloud.
Or its a night game.
Or at Duke because its a long walk.
Or if it's Virginia.
Or if we have me players.

Some of us did, it just fell on deaf ears. I'll give credit where it's due though and say I felt just a tiny but better after his opening presser. He said all the right things, but I still wasn't even remotely close to feeling comfortable with the hire.
