Wisconsin favored by 7

Stop the run and some how have some success running the football. Does this D have any physicality left? In the Clemson game we were slow to get up from almost every collision on the field. Bad match up for a team that doesn't want to consistently hit and tackle.

And coach Mark Richt publicly has stated that Miami would NOT have any live scrimmages. OUCH! Whereas mighty Wisconsin is going to scrimmage and have LIVE tackling. Yikes.

The Orange Bowl against Wisky is a great matchup against the Canes team we have right now. Still... we must establish an effective running game so we put less pressure on Rosier to convert 3 downs throwing... and we need to consult the play-calling Gods for some much needed enlightenment.

Good luck establishing any degree of a rushing attack against mighty Wisconsin. Those small town rustic boys are NASTY on defense and what not!:kramer: Also, Wisconsin's OL is arguably STRONGER than mighty Clemson's offensive line. OUCH!

Lol this will be ND pt. 2.

Exactly what I was thinking. And I'm pessimistic as ****. I normally don't think this way after a loss like last night.

Richt's record in bowl games is legit. We need some rest as well. We'll come out and dominate at home like ND. Maybe not THAT bad but I see a 10-14 point win.

What! U still believe Miami will defeat mighty Wisconsin? With that BELOW-AVERAGE offense and what not. SMH:sanford:

Nevertheless, I'm a firm believer Miami will win a NAIL BITER game and all that. I just hope South Florida DOESN'T ABANDON Miami and all that. Because Miami needs the fan base against mighty Wisconsin.

I think you're underestimating Wisconsin a little. Sure they're boring and all but that's a very solid team. The kind of teams Miami always seems to struggle with.. like Pitt, UVA, VT, etc

Give Richt time to prepare for a bowl and he'll have us ready. Can we complete a pass though?

I AIN'T underestimating mighty Wisconsin one iota, Jack!:madstare: I've seen them play three times and know they could possibly put a BEAT DOWN on Miami. if Miami isn't prepared to play!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Seen it -5.5 at some other places. Bet it early boys. De facto home game versus a slow B1G opponent. Sign me up!

They were big and slow up in Orlando back when too. And we know how their lines mauled ours in that one.

This isn’t 2009.

The Oline is a big problem for this matchup. They play well in the front 7 and mix their looks a lot. These guys are tough and well coached.

It could get really ugly again on that side of the ball.

They play old school ball and are damm good at it, huge and strong up front on both sides, their m.o. If we lose that battle its gonna be uphill the whole way, plus we have no relief. We will need to play maybe the best game we have played all year, as a whole, to win this game. Hopefully our speed will make up for some of it but we need to hit some big ones, D also needs some to's and Whisky ain't big on turning it over. Gonna take a grade A mistake free game

Wisconsin is better than VT. You guys are way off base to think otherwise.

OK man wisconsin is going to kill us.

The speed factor is a stupid cliche that has nothing to do with the outcome of the game. #8 Joe Ferguson was the only guy that got burned against OSU and couldn't keep up. He is a walk-on that is only playing because of a nagging injury to the starter Dixon who should be fine for the bowl game.

OSU had guys open because of scheme and missed tackles, not because UW couldn't keep up. We stayed in base for almost all of the 1st half to prevent the read option that OSU runs so well and they caught us a couple times. Heck on two of their long plays they got caught from behind by Badger DBs. But the D went in at half, adjusted and held OSU to 6 points in the second half.

Just FYI;
CB Derrick Tindal 5-11 181 SR Fort Lauderdale, FL
S Natrell Jamerson 6-0 198 SR Ocala, FL
S D'Cota Dixon 5-10 204 SR Oak Hill, FL
CB Nick Nelson 5-11 208 JR Glenarden, MD (DMV)
Nickel CB Dontye Carriere-Williams 5-10 192 FR Miami, FL

So tell us more about these slow, 'rustic' DBs. As with every CFB game this will be won or lost in the trenches. If Miami can shut down UW's run game and maintain coverage on the PA they have a great shot at a W. For as bad as the first half looked against OSU and for all the dropped balls and missed tackles by UW, they still had a shot to win it in the last minute and just couldn't quite get there. So far it seems as if many here have learned nothing since our last matchup, "speed speed speed, slow B1G, blah blah blah."

This game is basically for the NFL scouts...

I think Berrios will show out big time... This is his last signature game..

ouch @ our offense against their defense.

Mighty Wisconsin could hold Miami to ' 10 or 13 ' points! The way Miami's OL and QB have been playing the past two games.:canes1:

Do you get some type of royalty every time you use the word "mighty"?

Obviously I'm asking for a friend.

I don't think you understand. Speed at the skill positions is one thing. Most decent teams can land a few speedy wide receivers and DBs. Speed at every position is an entirely different matter. Do me a favor. Go back and watch the Miami/Notre Dame game and see what happened to their 1st round tackle and guard at the hands of guys you've never heard of in the national spotlight.

Just don’t want to deal with a bunch of cheesehead douches trolling this board the next few weeks. We have a team that is out of gas and probably out of luck. Too many injuries and too many holes that can’t be filled until next year. CMR can only do so much with this Goldenized bunch. The future is bright, but for now, I just hope we can make this game respectable.

Wiskassippi sux.

While I agree that our team is broken, we have hope that they can re-form over the next month and resemble a functioning group of footballers. Protecting our home turf is enough to get up for, but finishing the season on a high note should fuel our guys further so that they'll show up ready to play.

I don't see all this speed you're seeing. Of the contributors, there are two fast guys on O (Thomas, Homer) and three freaks on the DL (RJ, Garvin, JJ). Overall, I'd say speed is actually lacking at certain spots (LB, S, TE).

Bandy? Harley? DeeJay?

And besides that, I specifically excluded skill positions. You know, or you should know, that Florida players are generally faster than the B1G types. I find it ridiculous that you'd even contest this. Yeah, granted we're not quite where we want to be, but overall, our team speed is greater than any team in the mid-west.

Another way to look at it is this: We have 25 players on our roster who were rated 4* or higher as recruits. Wisconsin has 6. It would be an embarrassment if they even managed to keep it close in our house.
