Winning Cures Everything

What do our past teams, with massively qualified coaches, have to do with Al Golden? Al has never in his LIFE been on a championship staff. He was never on the staff of a team that even played in a Big 4 bowl game. He never played on a team that won anything. He never coached under a HC who had ever won anything.

Al Golden legitimately thought we had an ACC title winning squad when camp started. That's b/c this guy has NO CLUE what a championship team looks like. You can read about that **** in a book, yu have to experience it. Even Coker and Randy knew what great teams looked like.

Well Howard thought the 2012 team was the most physically gifted he has ever seen too...

"That's the best-looking squad I've ever seen in my life physically including the Miami Dolphins, the University of Alabama, anybody," Schnellenberger told USA Today. "In 56 years of coaching, they looked better physically than anyone I've ever seen. They're young, but I think [Golden is] due for a real breakout. I don't know what everybody's expecting, but I expect them to be **** good."

http://blogs.miaminewtimes.com/riptide/2012/08/at_least_howard_schnellenberge.php

I guess he is clueless too..

Congrats. Miami football would have won Mr Olympia. They were horrendous at playing football though.

Once again, do you think Al Goldens resume is even REMOTELY close to what Howards was when he was coach here? You have conveniently avoided that.

Jimmy Johnson lost his first 3 bowl games at Miami before finally winning the NC in his 4th year.

Once again over simplifying based on numbers. Jimmy Johnson played in the national championship game in his third year here. Al Golden got blown out in the ******* Citrus Bowl in his 3rd year.

We can play this game all day. Shall I list the kind of pedigree Jimmy had as well? B/c like Howard, it takes a GIGANTIC dump on Al's career.

Jimmy Johnson took over a National Championship team. Al Golden? A 7-6 team.
Jimmy Johnson took a #2 team and lost 35-7 to a #8 Tennesee in the Sugar Bowl his second year here.
Jimmy Johnson took the most talented team in America and lost to Penn State in the Championship game in his third year.

Stop with your Pedigree... Randy Shannon and Larry ****er both had great pedigree... that turned out well for us.

Al Golden is as good or better than Jimmy Johnson and Shnelly.

Shut it down, you win in a landslide.

This guy just might be the biggest ******* dumb **** in the history of this site.

And when you take into account bomb use to post here....that's saying something.

And Urban Meyer took over a horrendous Gator team and won a title in year 2.

There is probably not ONE COACH in history who has as weak of a resume as Golden, with as poor results by year four, who then won a national title. Not one.

When it's all said and done he's going to go down as either the one of the top 2 worst coaches in the history of this program.

To put this in perspective, OP hopes it rains as he watches his house burn down rather than calling 911.

I suppose there is the potential that rain will come out of nowhere and end his misery. But the odds are so ******* infinitesimally small as to be nonexistent.

how do i know Al golden can coach Miami ball? Look no further than the 3 game win streak the the slurpers slurp everytime they want to have hope for their savior.

Out of nowhere our players are dominating both sides of the ball, the playcalling is gametight, and we are hitting on all cylinders.

go into the fsu game and we smack them in the mouth deploying the same strategy.

come second half, golden puts the defense back in prevent mode and FSU gladly TAKES the game from us.

you wait four years and after the worst defensive stats in the history of the school you decide to call an aggressive gameplan for three and a half games against your weakest opponents?

If you know anything about football or have any respect for this program then there is no way in **** you still support al golden. no way

I do know a little about Miami football and have a lot of respect for it and I still support our HC and hope he can turn it around until he is gone.

Cincinnati, VT, NC, FSU were not our weakest opponents. Coaches don't play and players don't coach. It is very hard to say that the coaches decided to call ****ty games and then decides to call a few good ones. Players were winning individual battles and making plays during that stretch. Not so much in the second half against FSU, just look at all the mistackles on both of Cook's runs. That is not play calling, just mistackling.

See, i dont mean to be rude. But you clearly know NOTHING about football outside of the exoteric shid that everyone knows.

cincy, vt, and unc were a weak stretch of opponents no matter how you slice it buddy. especially comparing the talent.

Saying "coaches dont play and players dont coach" and not elaborating isnt helping your case. thats just stating the obvious.

Because coaches coach the players on the way they SHOULD be playing.

Its not hard to say that the coaches called ****ty games and then decided to call a few good ones because, well, thats exactly what they did.

on offense we clearly stuck to a zone blocking run game and put an emphasis on duke johnson, especially out of the backfield. On defense we allowed our safeties and linebackers to play closer to the line of scrimmage as well as matching personnel better by not leaving 3-4 linebackers on the field to cover slot wrs.

it was clear and evident to anyone with football eyes that Golden tweaked the playcalling on both sides of the ball.

Players were winning those battles because they were being put in position to win that battle.

its easier to win a battle when you have A. crawford covering the slot and not Tyriq mccord? do you understand how that makes sense bro?

Let me break something else down to you.......

Cooks run is called COACHING.

See, we played a lot of press, man, and nickel in the first half against FSU. In the second half we went back to the 3-4 prevent/cover 3 crap.

Kimbo recognized it and took a page out if Nebraskas playbook.

He immediately spread us out with trips which took denzel outside of the right tackle and our other linebacker outside of the hash.

They ran nebraskas zone read and dalvin cook took it for a touchdown.

It had nothing to do with effort or player skill.

It was called being outcoached. Jimbo recognized that crap and did the same thing nebraska did. We were so spread out the players werent in position to make the play.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bQYPF1f-qI4

Look how far denzel is away from the play... Look at the outside linebacker....

come on dude. our players were destined to fail before the play started.

Jimbo is just smart and he at al up for getting away from what got us the lead in the first place.

please come with a better football argument because you look a little clueless bro.

Figured you would ignore this post. cuz you know **** well you have no idea how to argue against what i said because the proof is in the pudding. lay off the boards for a few weeks bro.

You're asking a ****** to understand logic, facts, and trends.

I know many "fans" here want to see Maimi fail so they can be right about Golden and get him fired.

I do not agree with this and hope we win out next year and every year regardless who the coaches are.

Winning will cure everything and I hope we start doing that again starting with the Independence Bowl this Saturday.

If we win 10-11 games next season which I think we have the potential to do. We will close strong in 2016 in recruiting and be positioned to win it all in 2016. I know it's crazy but I would much rather see that then go through another 3-4 years of rebuilding and hoping that we hired the right coach.

Romans 8:24 ESV
Now hope that is seen is not hope. For who hopes for what he sees?

Go back to Jersey with Gluten.

Let's agree to disagree on some points.

cincy, vt, and unc were a weak stretch of opponents no matter how you slice it buddy. especially comparing the talent.
You stated this was the weakest opponents for 3 1/2 games that includes FSU. Like Obama, you are not entitled to your own facts.

Because coaches coach the players on the way they SHOULD be playing.
Agreed, but players still have to play the way they are coached.

its easier to win a battle when you have A. crawford covering the slot and not Tyriq mccord? do you understand how that makes sense bro?

I believe McCord made his only pick of the year during this stretch against Cin. while in coverage.

It was called being outcoached. Jimbo recognized that crap and did the same thing nebraska did. We were so spread out the players werent in position to make the play.

They still look like mistackles to me...

What makes it so bad on cooks td is the fact that FSU doesnt even run the zone read. They took that from Nebraskas playbook as soon as they saw us in that defense.

When the end crashes the qb is supposed to keep it.

The end crashed jamies made the wrong read and they STILL scored because the defensive alignments were sooo brutal.

People tell me they know football cant breakdown the plays schemes or gameplans AT All.

Hey, I appreciate your insights and knowledge and am not arguing Xs and Os. I'm just a simple fan who is trying to support my team.

Well, 911 is not really an option in this case because the fire department doesn't have a fire truck.

Its FSu, its a team full of some of the best talent in the nation.

So what they missed tackles.

Have you ever played football?

Have you ever tried to tackle an athlete like dalvin cook from 30 yards away, running full speed, fighting blocks, and then attemting the tackle?

Do you know how hard that is? the best would whiff on that tackle.

Now imagine we have nickel defense on the field, aligned correctly, with denzel and grace as the two backers with both players in the tackle box and no more than 5 yards off the l.os.

i can almost guarantee the play goes for 5 at the most!

Dalvin cook can break denzels tackle from the position denzel was in.. but do you think denzel misses that tackle if he was aligned correctly or in the right formation?

Come on bro. stop it

I'm not blaming the players for missing the tackles, I understand it's part of the game. I'm just saying the coaches call bad plays and players make bad plays. It goes both ways. Kaaya missed a wide open Coley in that game on a perfect play call, **** happens.
