Winning Cures Everything

I know many "fans" here want to see Maimi fail so they can be right about Golden and get him fired.

I do not agree with this and hope we win out next year and every year regardless who the coaches are.

Winning will cure everything and I hope we start doing that again starting with the Independence Bowl this Saturday.

If we win 10-11 games next season which I think we have the potential to do. We will close strong in 2016 in recruiting and be positioned to win it all in 2016. I know it's crazy but I would much rather see that then go through another 3-4 years of rebuilding and hoping that we hired the right coach.

Romans 8:24 ESV
Now hope that is seen is not hope. For who hopes for what he sees?

Well I don't agree with anyone with this sort of *** backwards mentality being a Canes fan.

Congrats. You're part of the problem....go root for another team loser. I only negged you once cause this thing wouldn't let me neg you more than that.l

Who do you root for? Obviously not Miami.

You really are a certified ******.

Who the **** do you root for if you're ok with mediocrity and this idiot continuing to ruin the program.

Go **** your face and play in traffic.

How old are u?

The bible also says that though shalt not sell your neighbor a 87 Skylark with bald tires. Further proof Golden = sin.

The Bible and Golden? I have no problem with religious expression as long as it isn't trying to kill me (had a wonderful time with that previously...), but I really don't think the verse was intended for use regarding a 2015 Miami Football team. As Tim Tebow so aptly illustrates, it's the arrogance and ego to expect a supreme being to care about your performance on a field of play when the universe needs tending to...Of course, it REALLY sucks when the supreme being gives you a windup throw, the intellect of an 8th grader and pocket presence of Chris Simms.

Have kids? Especially teenagers with crushes galore? Ever told them to think with their head and not with their heart? Same thing here. I go back in fandom to 1979 and realize that Golden doesn't have it. I'm a 'Cane fan through and through, but my head tells me that unless Golden is thoroughly shown AGAIN AND AGAIN to be incompetent, the changes needed to bring Miami back to being a national title contender (READ: Fire Golden and most of his staff, hire a good coach and an effective staff) are not going to happen.

The part of the verse I quoted does not say to put our hope in God to win football games... it simply states that we hope for what we do not see. I'm not saying the past 4 years have shown me that Golden and staff will win a championship in 2 years, that is why I'm hoping as a fan.

OP is a mark. Telemarketers would kill D$ to get this mark's contact information. He's like a 10 star prize sucker fish for a telemarketer. This dude would buy a timeshare in Liberty City.

I have seen some fans rooting for team to lose so Al will get fired, but I don't think Al's needs to lose so any of us "can be right". Al has proven his enemies right over and over again. In fact many of us have tried to be hopeful at any opportunity, only to be crushed again and again by Al's pride. Nothing short of a NC can disprove his detractors at this point. He has done everything to defend himself, his chosen ones, and his defeated ideas about football except change his failed methods and horrible assistants. It is Al who would rather The U lose every game rather than win because he changes anything. His pride will not allow change because that admits he was wrong. We must win his way or lose. You have everything backwards.

You are correct my friend. We will win his way or he will be fired. Neither of those 2 outcomes are up to us, so let's just cheer the team that you and I both love.

FALSE. Before this season, I believed Golden could bring us back. Then we lost to Louisville yet again and completely blew it against Nebraska, and to use a biblical reference, the fish scales fell from my eyes. Yeah, there are some fools on here who love to say "Told you so." But everyone wants Miami at the top of CFB where it belongs.

I do not agree with this and hope we win out next year and every year regardless who the coaches are.

This is also my attitude. But nothing Golden has done indicates that he's capable of even getting 10 wins.

Winning will cure everything and I hope we start doing that again starting with the Independence Bowl this Saturday.

And I have the potential to be the next President. "Potential" doesn't mean **** unless it translates to performance.

A one-year turnaround really isn't that uncommon, so miss me with the "rebuilding" bull****. Todd Graham, in his first season, turned a 6-7 ASU team that was the most-penalized team in the country to an 8-5 team that was the least-penalized, and then in his second season went 10-4 and won the Pac-12 South. Rich Rodriguez turned a 4-8 Arizona team to an 8-5 team in his first season. Mark Dantonio turned a 4-8 Michigan State team to a 7-6 team in his first season. Even Steve Sarkisian, possibly the most overrated coach in CFB, took Washington from 0-12 to 6-6 in his first season.

Thanks for the compliment. A "mark" is much better than some of the other name I've been called lately. I do own property but no time shares. Let me know if you have any that you own in Liberty city and would like to sell.

People like OP are just a special kind of stupid. These morons haven't learned to shut the **** up; it's really incredible. Even dogs learn certain behaviors after a while.

Can't lie, I'm feeling that bible verse. Lol. Can't bash you because of that alone.

Believe as you want to believe as it comes to the Holy Bible , I just don't like putting religion or holy book sayings (be it the Koran, Holy Bible, Torah, etc.) into sports or some other facets of our lives. In two years, if you are right, everyone here will be happy and you can bring this thread back and say "I told you so." I have my doubts though...

You are very similar to me but I'm stubborn and refuse to give up hope. If I lose hope then why even bother to follow this team? I might as well stop following and come back when Golden's gone. That is why I don't understand why some people on here are still on here. They have nothing but hate and anger, their lives would be much better and less bitter if they simply took a break from Miami football.

8-5 and 10-4 are not considered turn arounds here at Miami. People want national championships not conference championships. Unfortunately we haven't had neither since joining the ACC. No one is happy with even 12-1 if we don't win the national championship. Another 3-4 years of 8-5, 10-4, 9-4 is not what everyone wants and we are in no better position than we were last year at 9-3.

How is someone who is openly rooting against the program telling a true Canes fan to go root for another team??? Go play with your star wars action figures some more Jedi. You'd be surprised at the player currently on team you've talked trash to and told to root for another team. If you think your a true fan your insane. I hope you run into that person 1 day and i wanna hear u say these things to him or any other player on the team.

I feel you man. I quoted only a part of this verse because it's not religious, just wisdom about what hope is.

I can't really say I'm right because I'm not saying it will happen, I just hoping it will happen as a fan. If it happens, I will be as happy as everyone else, if not I will be disappointed like everyone else. However, hope is what keeps me interested, if I have no hope in life, then I would have no reason to live.
