Wiltfong with Crystal Ball for Tyrique

And there’s a couple CB’s that were actually drafted that wore a “U” on theirs, one is actually starting for San Fran, and one is gonna be drafted this year after all of you wanted to cut him.
Not talking about me man, I wasn't on this board back in those days and MJ is going to be a stud. Malik was on his way as well before the injury. Was a ballhawk.

Does it concern you Diaz and Banda have missed on so many South Florida recruits while making this market a top priority? In other words, they threw everything but the kitchen sink at these kids and still missed on them.

They have the toughest job and the easiest job in terms of recruiting.

They are competing against the best and most crooked teams in the country for the top guys. Alabama and Georgia shop for their DBs here. We have been bad for 15 years. That’s a tough battle.

On the other hand, you will still get great players down here if you are not Paul Williams. People don’t realize we have 7 four-star DBs (and counting) heading into next year. It’s our most talented position.

I busted @orange&green84 chops about Googling DB coaches because everyone has only heard of Corey Raymond. So should we fire Banda, pay Raymond well into seven figures and expect improvement from an already-excellent pass defense? Let’s see how he recruits if he switches from the LSU brand to the UM brand, which hasn’t been good in these kids’ lifetimes.

Coaching is teaching. Banda has shown very quickly that he makes his players better. We won’t start recruiting like Bama and Georgia until we get to the next level on the field. The first thing Tyrique said about Georgia was “they are the only program that competes with Alabama.” That is going to be a problem with top guys until we become consistently relevant. I don’t care who your coach is.

Well at least you know my man. More I can say for most.

Yup, it took Dabo 5-6 years until he started reeling in top 4 classes consistently. Gotta prove you can win first and foremost.

I agree with your point on the elite prospects; however, what concerns me about this staff is we miss out on so many kids after that level of class. Kids should be drooling to play in this Defense and they are not. Can only blame the Offense so much.

No lies here.

One year Dabo had the top player in America committed in Robert Nkemdiche he also took a committ from a lower ranked RB named Wayne Gallman as a “package type deal”.

Nkemdiche trolls Clemson goes to ole miss , while Wayne Gallman ends up being a critical part of Clemson’s 2016 NC while Nkemdiche never sniffs a sec title game.

We are already fighting an uphill battle when these BAG schools are coming down here and paying for the ELITE kids. We aren’t going to be able to compete against that. You just can’t do it.

Diaz did a great job getting rid of the entire offensive staff, but I'll be even more impressed if he sends Banda packing as Stevenson signing with UGA would have to be the last straw for our abysmal DB recruiting.

Replacing Banda and Rumph with an established stud DB coach and recruiter is as important as anything Diaz could do for this program.
Exactly, Banda in trouble. The purge continues?

Banda turned Jamal Carter and Rayshawn Jenkins into NFL players. Then he turned Sheldrick Redwine and Jaquan Johnson into NFL players. We also had a top 5 pass defense.

Firing him would be insanity.
Jamal Carter was one of the worst safetys to ever play at miami and we had colbert at cb instead of safety where he excelled in NFL

Not Jamal Carter’s senior year though.

Go watch his film man.. Jesus ... the guy was clapping when other teams scored tds on him and first downs... kid was in space

The one play vs fau where he forced the fumble the kid ran into him ... he is a decent in the box player at best in nfl
