Willis cut again

There must be some serious issues with this guy. He looks like a beast but no one wants him.
I hope things work out for him, but it likely won’t be in football.

I said it at the time when Jess Simpson his D line coach did not draft Willis that here were problems Willis. If anyone knew Willis it was Simpson. Simpson knew Willis was not worth taking even in the late rounds. He has had a couple chances and cannot play the the NFL level. Yes he had a good senior year in college but that does mean success at the next level.

Been plenty of guys who produced in college who weren’t goo enough to make it in the NFL

Agree but unless it’s an off the field issue, this one really surprises me.

This guy was the most dominant DL we’ve had here in a decade. Far more than Allen Bails and some of the others still in the league years later.

The guy made second-team all conference, may be better. He definitely had talent , size and speed. It has to be between the ears.

DT seems to be a position where if you can do it well, it usually translates. It has to be off field or mental because he has the talent to at least be on a roster.

It’s got to be off the field issues. Willis had probably the best season for a DT at Miami since Warren Sapp. The man can play. He’s not a fit for every system but a 3 technique who can get off the ball and into the backfield consistently has value.

If he was really that good someone would find a spot for him. I'm not sure what his attitude issues still are, but we managed to keep him eligible and productive for a whole year. I think he's probably an average prospect, and average prospects get no slack for attitude issues in the NFL.

This;

I’m not sure if we get this concept. Locker room be damned, when u have talent, teams will find a way to keep u on the team or in the league. U think Willis is more of a headache than Charles Haley? More of a headache than Kill Em Bill Romanowski? More of a headache than Antonio Brown (and let’s be clear, the only reason he’s not in the league is b/c of the domestic violence/rape allegations). More of headache than OBJ? The NFL is and have been dripped w guys who aren’t wound too tight off the field, but if u are good, they will sweep ur chit under the rug, or if u become too much of a headache, another team will take a flyer on u to rehabilitate ur image. As long as u can play, it’s all good. So it’s gotta be more than just “off field” issues.
