Willie taggert post game...

Like try to ignore his amazing record at other schools for a second and think about what it might mean when you let your team give up a 20 pt lead in like 10 minutes, while being unable to score for an entire half game.

"After trailing the defending champion Miami Hurricanes 31-0 at the half, the Terrapins outscored Jimmy Johnson's team 42-9 in the second half to win the game. It was the largest comeback in NCAA history at the time. "

He has a career record of 50-53. Why do they think he will do anything at FSU? Unless he gets a generational player like Cam Newton the way Gene Chizik did at Auburn, nothing is saving Willies career.

Don't kid yourself.

He's a horrible speaker.

Cringe worthy stuff right there.

Go Canes!!!!!

Really?

I can't remember when I ever heard a losing coach sound like some great orator ......and EVERY coach loses.

No losing coach wants to hang around talking to a bunch of jock sniffers explaining why he lost.

Also most coaches language, whether they win or lose, ALWAYS consists of "cliches" and "coach speak".

I saw nothing different here.

Does anyone else picture a harmonica with that freeze frame of the video?

That is a good point. I am getting a Golden era flashback with this thread. The infamous "over analysis" of the post game press conference. It would be nice to see a "good" post game press conference performed by a losing coach so we should all know what to look for.

FSU fan: Willie is a championship coach and our team is a Rolls Royce Phantom...
Katt: No nicka, willlie is a 500 coach and your team is a Chrysler 300!
It looks a like Phantom, until them Canes pull up next to that MF.

Really..

I'm not sure if it was the turnovers did us away comment or if it was dis ones gonna hurt wit us for a while .....that made me think he has issues with public speaking.

I get coach speak and the fact it's tough speaking to the media after a tough loss. Dude seems like a nice guy but working the mic isn't one his strengths.

Facts

Go Canes!!!!!

Cmon man That's it??

I've seen and heard a lot worse. I've heard coaches that were completely incomprehensible. That wasn't even close to being in the bad category

What coach besides Golden was/is very good at working the mic???

If ANY other coach made ONLY TWO missteps during his talk after losing a game ...nothing would be said..... It would be considered about average.

There are lots of other things that you can be critical about concerning Taggert. Criticizing his speaking is a reach ...and without a doubt the least of his flaws

I'm not attacking you. I just happen to disagree with that narrative. Assessing someone else's abilities is always only about opinions. Mine just differs from yours
