Translation . “I was prepared for FIU to lay down, but since they brought their A game I wasn’t prepared”
Jarren is a good QB who had a bad game. I'm not really worried about Jarren.
Before the season started, I was the first person on this board to point out how slow he processed everything, and how that would be an issue. And, sure enough, in the Florida game, that came to fruition... as my predictions usually do.
But then the kid did something I never expected - he learned from his mistakes and got better. Jarren Williams got better every single week. So for that reason, I'm still all in on him.
N'Kosi Perry, on the other hand, is beyond help. But Jarren I still have faith in.
lmfao where is this delusional fantasy land u live in where Jarren got better every week??
He was trash all season minus 3 games (Pitt, FSU and Louisville). It took him a half to get going against Bethune Cookman.
After taking a few days to reassess and review the film of Miami’s loss vs. FIU, QB Jarren Williams admitted that he could’ve done more to get ready for the Panthers.
“I felt I was prepared (going in),” Williams said. “(But) looking back, I felt I could have prepared more.”
Williams threw 3 interceptions on the day and, at times, it seemed like FIU knew where he would go with the ball.
“I wouldn’t say they knew what we were doing, but they prepared well and had a good scheme for us,” Williams said.
hold up.... he was trash all season minus 3 games you say, Pitt FSU and Louisville.... meanwhile those were our last three games.
That's exactly the definition of "improving." He was trash early on and he got better.
And it gets worse with every hire. There’s a tease period at the beginning, then we fall flat on our faces in poopoo.....God, I thought Golden's years were frustrating, but man this is beyond frustrating.

That’s how you know it’s coaching you can’t tell me that with all the 4 and 5 players on that list that we haven’t had talent. And aside from Kirby and rosier each one at some point in their career at the U flashed amazing potential. How do we continue to have QB's that just don't it either mentally, physically or have the stones to consistently play at high level.
Williams- Mentally weak
Kosi- Mentally
Rosier- Just limited physically and Mentally
Kaaya- No stones
Morris- Mentally Weak
Jacory- Mentally
Marve- Mentally
Freeman- Physically didn't have
Wright-A little of everything.
I mean Mentally week from X's and O's standpoint for all except Williams, who seems to just be Weak minded
Thee **** they didn't! These boys were literally sitting on that chit, and even the announcers said FIU have prepared for that RPO slant, a staple that Miami often uses. lol. Yeah they did. They were not going to let that slant beat us, so instead of adjusting, like we finally did in the latter parts of the 4th, we just continued to be dogmatic.
Coming off a 52-point and nearly 500-yard performance vs. Louisville, the Canes’ offense struggled to reach 200 yards vs. FIU through three quarters before getting things together in a fourth quarter comeback that fell short; Williams ultimately finished 19-36 (52.8%) for 249 yards and 2 TD’s to go along with the 3 picks.
“I felt like I wasn’t myself out there, wasn’t playing how Jarren Williams plays,” he said. “Right now, I’m focusing on this week, being 1-0 this week.”
What does this "playing how Jarren Williams plays" really mean? You were already benched due to a poor performance. And you can't be 1-0 this week. 1-0 this week was against the Florida Gators!
What was Williams seeing on his interceptions?
“The first one he had a slant and I was reading my read key and he flew out, but the safety came down on it and hit him, caused him to fall, pick,” Williams said. “The next one, a collision as he was catching the ball. Because they were coming down on a lot of our RPO’s. The ball hit him he got hit, went up in the air.”
Bulllllll chit. Wiggins was very, VERY up right when you threw that int, to the point he looked back at you, my ninja, and put up his hands. That was simply a bad throw. The next one, the safety was sitting on that mug, and you still tried to throw it to a covered WR and he broke on the ball and receiver b/c you telegraphed it. The same chit happened on the 3rd int as well. ALL 3 ints have FIU players just sitting on those routes. Own that.
RB DeeJay Dallas left the game with a dislocated elbow and will miss the rest of the season, and Williams is looking to pick up his leadership capabilities in Dallas’ absence.
“I try to be a little more vocal, bring that juice, energy, keep guys going, that swag - let’s play our football,” Williams said. “Time to time, guys just get caught up going through the motions. We have to attack everything. Most important thing I stress is to be you - go out there and be you, you’ve been playing this game for how long? So go out there with your swag and be you.”
WTF does this even mean??? What is our football? These kids just say chit that sounds good and it's b/c they are coached up by a guy who does the same thing. How dare he say "time to time, guys just get caught up going through the motions", YET he stated at the onset he could've prepared better. LOL. This, my fellows, is the problems w/in this program. They continue to use a term that has nothing do w/ their current state. They have zero direction. You don't just pretend to have swag, it's either you have it or you don't. Swag is NOT losing to FIU. Swag is NOT losing to GT. Swag is NOT losing to UNC. Swag is NOT losing to UF when you won the TO battle 4-1. Swag is making sure your opponent knows you're better than them, and you do that by your preparation, execution, not motor biking on the side lines, not putting up jewelry in front of the cameras.
God, I thought Golden's years were frustrating, but man this is beyond frustrating.
The swag cultivated by spreading your cheeks and begging FIU to sodomize you on national television. What swag is he talking about?
I never really trust a QB who doesn’t win big in HS. If you have the talent Jarren does and you can’t even win big in HS, then I don’t trust your leadership and mental approach.Kaaya vibes here...will put up numbers but ultimately not gonna get us to where we should be.
No shi, if Rosier had Kaaya Arm and Williams accuracy (when it's on) dude would have been a damned good QB at UM, and that's hard to say, but looking at your post makes me even more depressed, I swear it must be the curse of Miami alone for QBs to just suck period....fins and canesHow do we continue to have QB's that just don't it either mentally, physically or have the stones to consistently play at high level.

Well, there's going to be a QB competition in the Spring. N'kosi can take the job back if Jarren doesn't improve on and off the field. I feel like N'kosi took a big step off the field and has shown leadership coming off the bench and returning to it. I'm not putting limits on either QB.Young & immature QB. He’s not a leader yet & until he becomes one, MIAMI will be mediocre. Good players & good young players with leadership skills make coaching look better.
He still gets a pass. He’s a R-Freshman. If he doesn’t take that leap next season, then there is a big problem because MIAMI can’t afford another reset to the QB & Head Coach.
