Will you be watching Lee Corso's going away party?

Daddy why are you sad?

Oh, I don't know, some foster kid with cerebral palsy scored a touchdown against Dallas Carver and then got hit by a cement truck the next day and they're interviewing his parents so closely I can see their dental work.

As they should have. It's not like anyone was not watching Gameday because of Corso's very limited appearances. He used to be on the show in its entirety since the inception, after the stroke they started having him appear less and less, which of course was the right thing to do. But it's also the right thing to do to let him go out on his own terms, he was the backbone of the show since it started. And as I said, it's not like people were actively not watching just because of his condition.
I agree with everything, pretty sure they’re gonna rename the show by just adding Lee Corso to the title which would’ve been a perfect send off a few years back too

Well, I would, but I'm planning on rearranging my sock drawer. I haven't fully decided what organization scheme to use, alphabetically by color or chronological by date of purchase. Unless someone has a better way, chronological is in the lead.

I vote for alphabetically.

I actually incorporate all three at the same time- it's a real task but so rewarding once you have completed all the organizing.

I feel exactly the same. While I feel sympathy for Lee Corso personally, due to his health struggles, the few times I’ve watched briefly have been painful to watch as they keep trotting someone that’s impaired out there.

I just don’t know why they were doing it. Maybe ESPN/ABC had the best intentions, but I’m having a hard time figuring out how this helped anyone.
Couldn't agree with you or Inday more. Great memories but it's well past time for him to live out the rest of his life off of TV.

You’re a CIS comedic treasure. What kind of treasure is up for interpretation.

Wow, I couldn't have a more opposite opinion than this whole thread, but I have been watching GameDay basically since the start, right after I graduated HS. Lee Corso is College Gameday. I will be emotional with Kirk and Corso deserves every bit of it after 38 years. I finally stopped watching last year because I had it with McAfee, Saban and part time Corso. I can't do it with a idiot and institutional plug, but it was the last ESPN show I have watched for a decade. I will be done with it after this show.

I wish Corso well, but I've had no interest in College Gameday in 20 years.

Corso had run his course probably 15 years ago, but I was no longer watching.

Desmond Howard is an empty suit. Pat McAfee is annoying.

GameDay is a waste of my time.

GameDay is a waste of my time.

I love the paegentry and quirkiness of the world's greatest sport, but yeah.

It's ESPN's signature show -- and not just for College Football, but for the entire network. So I get why they wouldn't change something that's making milions upon millions of dollars every year (and that's from the Home Depot title sponsorship alone).

But wouldn't it be nice if there were a nuts-and-bolts Saturday morning preview show where the top half-dozen or so games received in-depth breakdowns as opposed to a scripted variety show with three hours of yammering and yuk yuks?
